2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Rwd 2dr Sport Coupe (3.2L 6cyl 6M)

Review

It was either the C320 coupe for about $30k OTD. or the Maybach for $300k. Just kidding. I wanted a rear wheel drive fun commuter car. The V6 feels more powerful with its automatic than my audi felt with a manual. I love the idea of 8.5 quart oil capacity. All the technology and safety and quality is there. My oyster cloth interior with metal trim looks like a fine suit. But it's $15k less than the CLK320 and $9000 less than the C320 sedan. The free maintenance and lifetime roadside assistance are great. The car is comfortable and fun to drive.

Favorite Features

Excellent Engine. Touch shift auto trans. Oyster cloth interior (it's very hot in summer here), Free maintenance.

Suggested Improvements

1. Redesign back end. 2. Offer 16" wheels; fast wearing noisy 45 series tires on 17 inch rims are just a fad (-$200 difference to MBZ) 3. Standard stereo and speakers belong in Hyundai or Kia.(+$200) 4. AC control should be all electronic. (+$100) 5. Put some variety on the dealer lots.

2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Rwd 2dr Sport Coupe (3.2L 6cyl 6M)

Review

The "C-coupe" provides an great combination of performance (with the 3.2 liter V-6), comfort with features such as the dual climate control and the flexibility to haul moderate volumes of cargo, such as a bike or an air compressor. The car also provides decent gas mileage of 25 to 27 mpg on highway trips. I love driving this car.

Favorite Features

Performance of the V-6 and sport-tuned suspension. Functionality of the hatchback with a 38 cubic foot capacity. Comfortable interior.

Suggested Improvements

2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Rwd 2dr Sport Coupe (3.2L 6cyl 6M)

Review

Great car and the most fun to drive in a long time. Lots of power and great handling.

Favorite Features

Huge sunroof that bets anything else in the market.

Suggested Improvements

$400 for a 6 track CD player is a bit much given that there is no option for a "regular" one track player.

Review

This is my first Mercedes. Had a Lexus RX and got tired of the SUV thing. Forgot how solid German cars are. This thing is heavy and solid. Very powerful with the V6. It rocks and fun to drive. The glass top is the best thing in the world and a very convertible feeling, but security of a solid roof. Car is quiet inside and can hear the throat of the engine just enough. Wish I had a 5 speed and not the automatic. It is very cool to look at and totally Mercedes. Needed the hatch for extra room and practical reasons with kids.

Favorite Features

Sunroof glasstop is the best. Love the front end classic Mercedes grill. Solid, quiet inside. Rain sensing wipers. Storage and fold down seats. Car has class. Looks great just standing still. So much power, it wants to be on the Autobahn going 150mph.

Suggested Improvements

The wiper controls cannot be seen for steering wheel. Would never happen in a Lex, but Germans don't care. Just set auto-sensing wiper. Getting used to all the gadgets. The leather seats are hard, like sitting on a board. Comparing to my Lexus, just not that comfort emphasis.
