2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 4MATIC AWD 4dr Sport Wagon (3.2L 6cyl 5A)

Review

Purchased this car in 2005 with only 9000 miles, luckily under warranty. Car is nice to drive but has had a lot of electrical issues. Tranny leaked but had a recall on that and so far so good on that issue. The problematic electrical seems to be ongoing though, now at 40K miles the moonroof switch does not work all the time. Probs with electrical have been: Cig lighter failed (dealer said from plugging in cell phone?) told me to use the one in the back..convenient!; front headbeam would work sometimes when it wanted to, now taillight is out; drivers headrest failed. Non-elec quality- back seat cover seam tear fixed 3X (still torn); carpet on floor came apart; both front struts blown at 20K

Best Features

Purchased an extended warranty for obvious reasons! Drives nice, corners well.

Worst Features

Need to shoot the quality control person who okayed the electrical of these cars. Learn not to stress the small stuff....

Review

Great Car, love to drive it. It looks
best in black because the open view
window on the roof is well hidden. Go
for the upgrade on the cd package -
Make it the 6 disc bose, that
automaticly increases or decreases at
certain noise levels. Cool.

Best Features

how it looks going down the road - Of course, I've never seen mine go down the road because only I drive it, but I know it has to look good.

Worst Features

My only improvement would be on the tires. I upgraded my rims to the low profile tires and now have to replace the them every 20k due to wear.

Review

This is not your grandpa's benz. It's
fast, smooth and precise. Transmission
is like butter. Engine pulls strong
with plenty of torque in the right
places - sorry beemer peter. Pleasant
sporting note out of the exhaust - that
does not sound throathy but growns with
assurance. Interiors is spacious and
seats are german firm and supportive.
Cars feels very solid and safe (air bags
everywhere). Stops on a dime without
squatting or diving. Pleasure to drive
on long trips.

Best Features

Engine - transmission - and sure-footed handling combination

Worst Features

great car - exceptional service. Need better QC on minor repairs done. Some dealers real lousy. Need to turn up volume high to bring out bass on Bose system.

better than the sedan. and still holds
skis and snowboard inside or on top.
