2004 Mazda Tribute ES-V6 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
I have approximately 20,000 miles on my
2003 Merlot ES. It's a great vehicle for the
commute, as the traction in the winter is
exceptional, and I average silightly over 21
M.P.G. I had one major problem at about
4,000 miles, when an engine leak
developed. The engine was pulled to find a
camshaft seal leaking. Mazda provided me
with a loaner for the 4 days of the repair, and
it's been smooth sailing ever since. I like the
looks much better than the Escape, which I
briefly considered. The warranty was much
better on the Mazda.
Power, size and realibility. It can pull my
small boat in summer, and get through the
worst snow in winter.
Cruise control switches should be lighted.
Ignition key is at an odd angle, and shifter
lever is too close to radio volume. I also
have some wind noise issues.
