I have a 2004 Tribute with under 500 miles. It drifts relatively heavily to the left; the dealer claimed it was tire pressure (NOT) and said it drove within tolerance after he 'fixed' it. On the way home the drift was still there; others remark that the steering seems loose. I have been driving Mazdas and Fords over these same roads for close to 30 years, this is the first car ... The 2005 Tribute is ready to be shipped to dealers....but there is going to be a slight delay to reduce the remaining 2004 inventory. Mazda will have a big timing advantage over the 05 Escape and 05 Mariner.

Not sure about 2004, but next gen tribute to be built off 'Mazda4' platform. Mazda4 is upcoming "mini"minivan on same platform as Focus C-Max but will be a 7 seater as opposed to the C-Max's 5. Mazda4 will be available with front or AWD and will also spawn the next gen Tribute. I imagine Mazda will grow the next gen MPV to put it inline with the sienna, quest, odyssey etc.....opening ...
