Vehicle2001 Mazda Tribute ES-V6 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
ReviewThis was the car I was waiting for --
compact, roomy interior, reasonable gas
mileage and up where I can see what's
going on......yes, but....at 21000
miles I've just paid about $400 for a
rotator replacement on a front wheel
brake....that can't be right.
Apparently others are having this
unanticipated expense also. How common
is this and why isn't Mazda doing a
recall if the rotators are, as my
dealer told me, just not up to handling
the brake pads?
Best Featuresnicely luxurious and roomy and not the tinny feel of some of the smaller SUVs; good highway mileage, and best: real horses to get you up the grades. And it's pretty while powerful.
Worst FeaturesThe gear shift is too long....I'm always afraid I'll knock it out of gear while accessing the radio. And what IS that about the rotator replacement at 21000???
