2001 Mazda Tribute LX-V6 2WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
This is an excellent car in most
respects. It has been extrememly fun
to drive, handles well in the snow and
ice, and is a relatively comfortable
ride. I have also been very impressed
with its towing capability. I've towed
everything from an 18 foot boat to a
relatively large U-Haul. In my
estimation, it rode better with a towed
load than the Ford Explorer (XLT) that
I traded in. I usually don't go for
the first year models (having been
burned once before), but this turned
out to be a good move. I will get
another after I've run this one into
Towing capability and acceleration are
the two primary features I like.
There's not much else I don't like.
I think this has been improved in
subsequent editions, but I don't like
either the shift armature length or the
ignition key insertion location. The
armature is too long and is in the way
and it's hard to locate (if you're in a
hurry) the ignition.
