2001 Mazda Tribute ES-V6 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
Great vehicle, but I'm starting to
think it isn't built for the long haul.
I recently had the dealership perform a
transmission adjustment to eliminate an
occasional "rumble strip" noise that
would randomly occur in the 40-50 MPH
range. They said they're getting about
4-5 of these problems per month! I've
also noticed the mileage is getting
worse. I was getting about 20mpg with
combined city/highway. Now I'm down to
about 17, which STINKS.
Great get up and go. Good handling and
nice styling. The 6-disc CD
player/stereo is outstanding.
Put the gear shifi on the floor! Find a
way to eliminate the roar of the wind
at highway speeds. Did the engineers
not personally road test this thing?
