  I test drove a RX8 2010 GT and loved it. You could get a lot more hp elsewhere but what good is it on the street? I like Mazda and drive a 3 and am happy, but the RX8 has some flaws: too much money for a car that is very hard to sell is the deal breaker, I doubt must mechanics have experience with a rotary not to mentio mpg. ...   Hi Oldtimer2 I have a dealer offering a new 2010 (890 miles) RX8 for 20K, MSRP $27,8K. Would you buy the car and just change to the 5/30 motor oil?

  We bought our son an rx-8 and didn't know about all the problems. He had it for about a year, then the engine wouldn't start. We took it to the dealer. By now, Mazda had extended the warranties on the engine and they put in a new one free of charge. This was in April, 2010. Yesterday, the car made horrible sounds and lost power.
