I own an 2006 NC Mx-5. It is my third Miata. The changes that Mazda has made to the rocker sill skirts have successfully addressed my one criticism with the styling of this car: that the fender flares looked tacked on and somewhat ugly, instead of tastefully integrated into the car's design. Now the car looks right. My only other significant criticism of the NC Mx-5's body concerns its functionality. Unfortunately ... Read More
I have the 2007 and it came with Run-Flat Tires. I hear they are expensive to replace. My car is new, so I hope it's awhile...Good-luck finding what your looking for!
Hi ec99. Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a normal 2007 Mazda MX-5 with 12,000 miles per year are .00136 and 67%. Having said this, I do not believe that this special lease program is available on PRHT models. In fact, if I am not mistaken Mazda is not providing any support on the PRHT Miata. Sorry that I don't ... Read More
Stop me, stop me The Mazda MX-5 Miata is still the standard of reference for people who care about driving. It's the best car with which to learn about driving, and nearly everybody you know has driven one or wants to drive one. So our current long-term MX-5 surprised me a little. At 17,000 miles, our MX-5's brake pedal doesn't feel quite right. The pedal action is initially very light and ... Read More
I was all set to buy a 2007 Solstice. But when I seen that there was no trunk space with the top down that was the end. My wife and I like to go for drives and stay over night and no trunk means that we can not take a suitcase. End of story. Been a GM person all my life but somethngs come first.
Mazda's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease 2007 MX-5 with 12,000 miles per year are .00197 and 62%, respectively regardless of what sort of top it has. not so fast....what model Miata is this? the 62% is only correct for the sport and GT @ 12k. Others have different residuals. Also, I have a rate factor of .00251 for all models tier 0-1. ... Read More
Hello epiech. Mazda's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease 2007 MX-5 with 12,000 miles per year are .00197 and 62%, respectively regardless of what sort of top it has. Plus, Mazda is currently providing $500 lease cash on this car. Make sure to take this cash into account when negotiating its capitalized cost. Mazda is no longer leasing the 2006 MX-5 through its ... Read More
Hello Car_Man; I would like to know the October money factor(s) and residuals for both the 2006 and 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miatas’(the dealers in Utah have a mixture of both). I am particularly interested in the numbers for 36 months and 12K miles. If possible, I would also like to know if the numbers for the new 2007 retractable hardtop are different from the 2007 soft top. Thank you Car_Man.
I think getting bids in January is the best recommendation. I'm going to do this via the Internet. Anyone read "Confessions of a Car Salesman?" I'll put a deposit down, and will purchase in March '07.
intend to purchase a 2007 MX5 retractable roof Miata in March of 2007 If your in the Northeast buy the car in Jan. when you will get a great deal...if you wait until the spring you will pay more. we have the highest demand then and the least discounts.
Hard to say what availability will be. The PRHT is very new. You might consider buying in winter when the convertible market is soft. Spring is a little harder if availability is limited. The Hillsboro dealer seems to be pretty good about pricing. Local Miata members have picked up 06's at invoice... When they were still a hot commodity.
Why not place an order now and your 07 MX-5 should be ready by February/March 2007. Almost all dealers seem to be waiting for the retractable roof version to trickle in, but I know most dealers are taking orders now to insure buyers have a car waiting for them in the spring. I assume at some point more MX-5 will hit dealer lots, but it is hard to say when and ... Read More
I intend to purchase a 2007 MX5 retractable roof Miata in March of 2007. My choice is Sunlight Silver, black interior w/ Performance Package 2 and Sport Suspension. Question: How hard do you think it'll be to find one like this? Will availability be a problem? What are you hearing from other members, etc.? Thank you, Scott

I am sure you made a wise investment with your 2001 Miata. To get back to the original topic: I have met a defigured Solstice on the PCH... The poor girl had a front license plate hidding its fender grid. A while later, I met a police car and the driver obviously looked at my own front (where the license plate is missing). I told myself: there you go, you won't ... Read More
