I am the original owner of a 2006 Miata. Have had very little problems with this car which is why I have had it for over 10 years. For being 10 years old, my car is in mint condition and looks as good as the day I bought it. I am ready to sell it and am looking for the perfect person to take ownership. Someone I know that will take as good care of it that I have for all these years. If they take care of it, it should run for another 10 years.
A great car that one can absolutely enjoy owning. Got mine used with 2,019 miles on it, now at 24,500 fun miles on the odometer. Gave the 1998 Miata to the daughter, picked this one up and never looked back. I like the more aggressive look, more refinements, still handles with agility, reasonable mpg and super fun to drive on all road types I have experienced. Reliable, comfortable and safe too! The leather seat back is way too sweaty in the summers in Iowa and the driver's side left side bolster on the bottom cushion looks bad even with frequent leather conditioning. No spare with an OEM tire blow out late at night was not a pleasant experience.
New or old this cars are for basically young people. You have to be I think in good shape because getting in and out requires twisting your back. Not fun on long trips, but great for every weekend to bring youth into your life. That said, I am 70 and this has been the most joyful car I have ever owned. Lots of fun driving it. Yes , this is one of my bucket list items. Enjoy life, you only get one each.
Really fun car! Actually has a trunk that's usable with the top down! Not a practical car for more than 2 people. Handles great and has enough power to make it interesting. Like having an old British sports car with modern tech. and Japanese reliability. Would definitely buy another one!
