MPV Reliability
Well, maybe there are a few bad apples out there with the Honda emblem on them....but I know of a person who owns a 2003 and they love it and my sister has a 2004 Sienna and it is very solid after 160K miles on it. Maybe I should have only mentioned Toyotas are better in the long run. I know the Blue Book on both Hondas and Toyotas are stronger in the long run than Mazdas! My ... Read More...
Re: MPV [tcc21]
but it's had a terrible track record going back to 2002 That's not true. The MPV had a great track record up until late 2004 or 2005. It was one of Consumer Reports top recommended minivans, and reliability was listed as one of the best. The transmission "shift shock" issue hurt it's reliability rating, but that was a minor problem that was corrected with having ... Read More...
Re: MPV heater not heating...grrrrr [maypo1960]
Hello maypo1960. I read your Dec 31, 2006 posting about the heater problem in your Mazda MPV. I have a 1993 with the same problem - hot water going to and from the heater when I check under the hood, good fan strength, heat gauge is up but no hot air. Did you find out where your problem was ? Thank you Read More...
Radio change stations on its own
I have a 2006 MPV with 15,000 miles on it. Have a new issue it seems. Has anyone had an issue with the stock radio changing channels on its own? My radio on average a few times a day will hop off its station and do to frequeincies up. Example if its on 99.5 it jumps to 99.7. It's happening all the time rendering the radio not usable. Called the dealer ship and they said they ... Read More...
Front End Noise
I've been posting for years here about my problems with the 2003 LX I have. First, creaking sound coming from the front end when going over things like speed bumps and temps below 30 degrees. I also had a squeaking/creaking sound coming from the front end when I would turn the steering wheel when the temps were warm. They replaced the whole front tie rod set over the ... Read More...
Re: 2006 Mazda Mpv Rear AC? [pj2008]
AC vents are located between second and third rows on ceiling. Fan speed can be controlled from front seat, or back seat area, if driver chooses. Works dang well in my opinion. Read More...

Re: 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan (Stow 'N Go) vs 2005 Sienna LE vs 2003 Mazda MPV [sramamur1]
As an owner of a 2006 Sienna LE, I would recommend the 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SE...but it would have to have the separately controlled temperature for the driver and front passenger that was optional on the 2007 GC SE models. Our daughter's 1999 GC SE now has almost 106,000 miles with very few problems. My sister's 1986 Caravan SE had 170,000 trouble free miles ... Read More...
Re: 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan (Stow 'N Go) vs 2005 Sienna LE vs 2003 Mazda MPV [sramamur1]
Although the Toyota is a good van, you're buying it right about the time that it will likely need its first major maintenance. At 117,000 km, it probably needs a new timing belt, tune up, and tires. If the vehicle has had the timing belt done and the tires are in good shape, then the Toyota is a good way to go. If you choose the Chrysler, see if it qualifies for the 100,000 ... Read More...
