2003 Mazda Mazdaspeed Protege New 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

Review

Problems from day 1. Less than 5000k, bad alarm module. By 18k front brakes and rotors rusted through. By 21k, bad speed sensor, disabling ABS. Just hit 23k, waiting for next problem.

Favorite Features

Corners with the best of them. Sporty seats are actually comfortable.

Suggested Improvements

Intercooler size and location not sufficient enough to keep this car performing well when ran hard. Factory rear bushings sound like rear suspension is coming through the car. Since replaced . Needed about 30-40 more horsepower to make this a truly fun ride. 2003.5 -- goofy spoiler, no fog lights?
