This car compelled me to write a review

2014 Mazda 6 i Grand Touring 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
I hardly write reviews. Of all the opinions I have for everything I buy (good or bad), I never voice them.
This car changed that.
Tested many cars in this range new and used: VW CC, 2013 Accord, Camry, BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 I chose this because of the combination of looks, performance, comfort, economy and tech features that it offers.
My friends were extremely skeptical about this Mazda 6. No one I know owns a Mazda (family or friends).
They'd never seen the 2014 model but when I let them all take it for a test drive all their concerns and premature snarky remarks were laid to rest. They all commented on how amazing it looks (inside and out) and how smooth/quick the drive was.
Sleek sporty looks with 19" rims. Best looking sedan I've seen in this price range (sub $30,000 for price of a NEW car).
Excellent mileage (averaging 400 miles on one tank on local roads) and doesn't even need premium or mid grade fuel
11 speaker Bose sound system with subwoofer
Heated Leather seats with memory for 2 people
Lots of pep in the acceleration. Hardly any lag at all when you step on the accelerator. Feels like a V6 engine but without all the V6 high maintenance cost and poor gas mileage
GT model comes with paddle shifters which I often use to zip past cars on the road. Once you do that, you'll use them often
One of the lowest total cost of ownership
Car forgets USB playlist and has to read all the ID3 tags again every time you start it. Can take up to 4-5 minutes for a 32GB USB drive. And then starts playing from song 1. Major annoyance. Also only navigates/lists songs via ID3 tags. Not folders.
Poor voice recognition. Can hardly recognize names in my phonebook (well they are all foreign, so won't take off any marks for this).
Does get street names wrong 1/2 the time via voice command. I'm spoiled by Google Voice in my android phone whose voice recognition is far superior
5.8" screen size is small and has a low resolution so it looks dated. 7" screen would've raised pimp factor of this Mazda 6 10x
Ugh, for "Favorite Features" I had written them down as a list, and they all ended up in sentences. Didn't think the page would reformat it. Thus the lack of full stops and therefore lack of cohesiveness in thought ;)
