I have the 2010 Mazda 6 touring plus for about 17 months. I have 15k miles on the car and so far the car has been great. The only complaint I have is that the bluetooth on the receiver's end (people have complained to me) is raspy at times. I have 'not' brought the car to the dealer for the bluetooth, but will when I have the time.

I might have some insight into this, I own the 2009 mazda6 2.5 and also drove a rental ford fusion with the same engine. I noticed the fusion runs at lower rpm cruising speed, so the culprit might be the transmission/engine tuning. I prefer the how the fusion is tuned. wonder if there is a way to reprogram the mazda to match maybe by taking it to a ford dealer?

Yet Mazda6 sales are down about 49%, year to date. Yes, everything is down, but I would guess that is a greater than average decline, meaning a reduced market share for the new mazda6. Also these declines are from what were already, I believe, disappointing (to Mazda) sales numbers for the previous version. http://www.mazdausamedia.com/content/mazda-reports-february-2009-sales They just may find that this "me too-ism" does not work.

I would think styling is one of the biggest reasons someone would buy a Mazda6 instead of the competition. I think there's two main reasons for the relatively (key word) low sales of the 2009 Mazda6 to date: 1) Word hasn't fully gotten out yet about how much improved the new design is over the old car. 2) With a new design, dealers and Mazda were slow to add incentives and ...
