Re: lilengineerboy [captain2]

how on earth could KBB or NADA (or anybody) anticipate that the market for 6s would get so bad that $6k discounts would have to be offered and those resale values would necessarily decrease by a similar amount? Other then that one Texas dealer you told me about, I have not seen $6K in discounts. I am a Mazda dealer, and I would be losing major money if I sold them at discounts ... Read More...

Re: 2005 Mazda 6 Electrical Problem? [jbwilk]

(Sorry for the long post below but I'm sure the info may be helpful to those of you having or will be having the battery failure/weird electrical problem that is starting to show up on Mazda6's). Last Saturday in the driveway, my '05 Mazda6 Sport w/V6, automatic and low mileage (13,500) had the same no-start, crazy dancing needles on the gauges with and without ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Mazda 6i Sport Value Edition [wagagog]

You're very welcome, wagagog. Generally speaking, the longer a lease is, the lower its monthly payment will be. Here is the information on this car's current program that you're interested in. Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 27 month lease of a 2007 Mada6 i Sport Value Edition with 10,500 miles per year are .00229 and ... Read More...

2007 Mazda6 SVE manual

So I had an offer of $259 a month for a 24 month lease $2000 down on a Mazda6 SVE Stick 12,000 miles. I haggled a bit more and the dealer said he would reduce the price by $600 but when he calculated the lease price, it was a few dollars higher per month and said his prior calculation was a mistake. I told him no thanks and left. I contacted another dealer who said the best ... Read More...

Some more info on new Mazda6

Found a some more info on the new Euro-spec Mazda6 that I thought might interest some. Nothing earth-shattering, but every bit counts! This is from Mazda's UK site: "An advanced six-speed manual transmission engages the new range of engines, which includes a class-leading 2.5-litre petrol engine (170 PS) and an updated diesel (140 PS). Steering and handling ... Read More...

Re: Well I test drove a 2007 Mazda 6 [carguy58]

I guess I expected more as I thought the Cobalt was supposed to be a big improvement over the Cavalier. Did not seem much better to me in terms of "drivability" or desirability. I understand the Cobalt is a cheap car (which should be the criteria for expectations, rather than compactness), Focus is cheap too but seems to be a much better car than the cobalt despite ... Re: Aura I4 [jd10013]

I'd say KBB is VERY optimistic. ;) Edmunds' TMV for a 2002 Civic EX 4-door (the most expensive Civic trim for 2002) with 115k miles in clean condition is only $7740. By that number, in about five years you've lost nearly 50% of the car's value compared to what you paid for it. Which is pretty good! In comparision, I had a similar experience with my '01 Elantra, which ... Read More...
