Re: Are we done yet? [mz6greyghost]
Or it could be like how I bought my 6: Walked into a dealer with the EXACT car color/options/drivetrain that I wanted (Gray/moonroof, no leather/V6 with 5-speed manual). So you got a Base Mazda6 S with the moonroof option. This combination didn't even exist in 2007, so I guess you are lucky you got it when you did. Of course, if you use the same cost for the optional ... Read More...
2009 Mazda 6 (euro) review
There's a preview (a short driving test) in a respected russian magazine with gorgeous shots of the car. In a brief, the car is better than a previous version in every respect and looks stunning. Also, aerodynamically superior to the most cars on the road (Cx=0.27) http://www.autoreview.ru/archive/2007/20/mazda6_2gen/ Read More...
Re: 2007 Ford Mondeo [robertsmx]
Good point. Quick check of Mazda UK shows the Mazda6 priced about where the Mondeo is. OTOH, the exchage rate is also part of the reason companies like Ford are making money in Europe, while losing here. European manufacturers are also losing money in the US, due to the weak dollar... they can not just increase prices by 50% and expect to sell. OTOOH, it may be that ... Read More...
Re: Fleet sales [aviboy97]
Also, depending on what incentive $$ that dealer gets from Mazda, selling those Mazda6's at that price just might be profitable, or at least break even. Yes, I think that is the key. there are a couple dealers that will sometimes, toward the end of the month, have ads with great discounts. I've assumed that this is due to wanting to meet some sales goal for some sort ... Read More...
Re: Fleet sales [jeffyscott]
At that dealer one would have only needed to add a $99 document fee to that price and this would net a deal at $4500 below MSRP. That is a great deal. I am thinking that dealers need to get these vehicle off their lot to avoid paying $$ in floor plan. Also, depending on what incentive $$ that dealer gets from Mazda, selling those Mazda6's at that price just might be profitable, ... Read More...
Re: Fleet sales [aviboy97]
I am looking at my program sheets from the past 12 months. Mazda did not introduce a $2000 rebate until the July/August. For most of the year here it was $1000 and then an additional $1000 if you took MAC financing. That was the deal when I bought in Jan. Maybe there are regional differences in rebates, other incentive, and even in the discounts that are needed to sell? ... Read More...
Re: Fleet sales [aviboy97]
My nearest Mazda dealer (Twin Cities area) has been running an ad for weeks with 2007 Mazda6es at $5100 off, including rebates. I know those prices are legit because they are a no-haggle dealership, so the price on the car is what you pay. Since that is with a no-haggle dealership, I expect it would be possible to get a little better deal at other area dealers with ... Read More...
Re: Fleet sales [jeffyscott]
Not sure what you are looking at, but they had ~$2000 or higher rebates available since about Nov 2006. I am looking at my program sheets from the past 12 months. Mazda did not introduce a $2000 rebate until the July/August. Currently, there is now a $2,500 rebate on all 07's. There was a $1000 rebate for most of the year prior. I got about an additional $1500 below ... Read More...
Re: More '09 Mazda6 interior pics [mz6greyghost]
The Mazda 6/NAV bears some similarities to Camrys dash. Both have thin horizontal buttons on both sides of the screen. The problem with those is not only they are small, they are also not as easy to figure out with a quick glance. OTOH, I have seen plenty of comments around how buttons in Accord have intimated folks. The fact is that they are logically grouped, are ... Read More...
Re: Appliances [robertsmx]
Again, those very same points were made ten years ago too. If you look closely, now and in the past (pick any period), Accord has never been at the top in anything except ownership cost, engine quality, ergonomics and may be dependability. Actually, the Accord had quite a bit of value compared to it's peers at one point. It really had a quality advantage that many ... Read More...
