2004 Mazda Mazda6 s 4dr Sport Wagon (3.0L 6cyl 5M)
Drove it 700 miles in heavy,
fast-moving Labor Day weekend traffic
and it performed beautifully. Road-
hugging, extremely responsive,
excellent braking. The car feels
solid. Seats are very comfortable.
The A/C worked well, controls are
different but are easy to learn/find.
There's plenty of cargo room for
luggage and dogs. I love the dual-
position barrier net! Best of all, as
I passed a sleek Z4 and my 15-
year-old daughter in the front
passenger seat turned to admire it,
she noticed that the Z4's passengers
were pointing and staring at OUR car!
The Bose stereo (fantastic). The
barrier net that lets my dogs have the
entire cargo area when the back seats
are folded down. The sporty, beefy
look. The red gauges.
The leather seating looks a little
cheap. Can't figure out how to clear
the windshield in very humid early
morning weather. Minor quibbles!
Mazda has a winner here.
