2004 Mazda 6 s 4dr Sport Wagon (3.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

This is my second mazda...We don't own
a SUV or truck but needed more cargo
room from time to time..this was the
right car for us...One word of caution
when searching for a Wagon with a roof
rack...It has to be factory
installed...don't let the dealer tell
you they can put it on after you buy
the car..IT CAN'T!!! those side roof
rack bars are too tricky when you add
in side/curtain air bags..this is per
Mazda headquarters...the cross bar of
the roof rack can be added on later but
not the other.one is permanant the
other is removeable...wish the dealers
knew the car better than giving false
info to the consumer

Best Features

large drink holders, 2 ac jacks, large gas tank, roof rack, big cargo area

Worst Features

arm rest is a bit short, wish it was a bit longer in front to rest my elbow on, power seats and fog lights should be standard

2004 Mazda 6 s 4dr Sports Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Bought my Mazda 6 with all the options
available and the car is quite striking
in Lapis Blue Metallic-a few
reservations though that everyone
should know about:
1. The center console (HOD in the dash)
cannot be modified with a dash kit,
etc. without extensive work- this means
that adding your own CD player, etc. is
VERY difficult.
2. There is considerable throttle lag
in the 5 speed version- the car does
not want to accelerate much until at
least 3500 RPM (on the highway though,
the car passes other cars very nicely)
3. Fuel economy sucks - expect to spend
$25+ a week on moderate driving
4. Sport package makes driving a bit
bumpy (but handling is exceptional)

Best Features

-Sport package adds considerable control to vehicle-60 MPH tight turns no problem. -Sharp looking car with a lot of space- especially with fold down rear seats. -Very fun to drive, with right combo of features, car can turn heads -Money left in wallet after paying for car(great value)

Worst Features

- Better fuel economy - Option to have fog lights integrated below headlights, not directlynext to them (there is space!) - Better navigation system option (similar to Acura's outstanding system) - Less expensive clear tailight kit ($400+ installed? Are you kidding?) - Less faux-titanium

2004 Mazda 6 s 4dr Hatchback (3.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Just purchased a mazda after test
driving all other cars like the maxima,
focus grand am. Main thing that I like
about this car, not only looks good on
the outside but has the interior and
the balls under the hood to back it up.
For example my friend has a camamro
z28, raced him and it kept up with him
till about 80 then thats where the v8
keeps going, but lets face it, how many
times you going to pass someone or go
faster than 80?the mazda 3 and its
interior and was
fun to drive. But it has no thrust when
your getting on the road or riding the
throttle. Got the Bose stereo has a sub
in the trunk included,

Best Features

Bose stereo, moon roof, very well illuminated and has a temp and cumpass. Very impresses with dimming mirror so at night no flipping the mirror, it dimms with other cars lights.

Worst Features

Needs more fun acessories. Lets face it this car is the next street hot rod for the mid sized car world. Needs available chrome rims.

2004 Mazda 6 i 4dr Sports Sedan (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

Review

I just bought my Mazda 6 less than 2
weeks ago and I love it! I did the
research online and drove at least 3
other cars (Nissan,Honda,Chevy) and the
Mazda was my favorite. The style is
sporty and on the same level as the
Altima but at a better price tag. The
interior is refined and classy - very
well thought out (and not cheap
looking). The car handles very well
and I saved some cash and bought one
with the manual transmission, wife
can't drive it (yet) but it is very
smooth to operate and I don't have any
complaints/doubts about my decision.
My advise, look around and drive
different cars...but don't forget the
Mazda 6!

Best Features

Styling, great handling, classy interior, great build quality, and great price.

Worst Features

Be able to buy accessories online.

2004 Mazda 6 s 4dr Sport Wagon (3.0L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Needed to get out of an SUV, and saw a
sport wagon as a perfect opportunity.
Compared this to Volvo V40 & VW Passat
Wagon, and this one beat them both on
ride, handling, and looks. Solid road
manners, superb acceleration. Priced
to sell

Best Features

Power drivers seat is the most flexible I've ever had. Front wheel drive gives me the confidence this will handle well in Michigan winters.

Worst Features

Frankly, don't love the gauges, too big and showy. Not that classy a look. Can live with this being the worst thing on this car. Mazda dealers need to sell product and be less pushy!
