Mazda5 Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Incentives below invoice?
We're really close to buying a new 2009 Mazda5 Grand Touring. The dealer is talking invoice - $250 (using "his" family discount) plus we'll take the $500 cash and 2.9% financing. So total is invoice - $750 + tax/title/dest. But I'm suspecting that there is room to move below invoice. The local dealers are claiming there's no more marketing support from Mazda, ... Read More...

Mazda5 2009 Factory Security Alarm Going Off For No Reason
I purchased a new 2009 Mazda5 GT in January and last week my security alarm went off for no reason three times while parked in the garage over a one week period. This week the dealer checked everything and couldn't find any problems. They also called Mazda headquarters and filed this with their technical support. They've reset the main computer on board and I hope ... Read More...
Re: Seats [tourist1292]
Hmmm, let's clarify those 4" (4.1" to be precise) of overall extra legroom: 1st, 2nd and 3rd legroom dimensions: Rondo: 41.3+38.2+31.3=110.8" Mazda5: 40.7+35.2+30.8=106.7" I would appreciate the 3" 2nd row difference (which is of no use for me as I have 2 rear facing car seats and the individual captain chairs' back seat reclining is more critical to me, but ... Re: Mazda5 vs. Pontiac Vibe [jack_1000]
My answer is biased because I own 2 Mazda5s, but in summary: Mazda5 = more space, sliding doors and better handling (a blast to drive) I rented an 09 few months ago (2009 2.4L 5AT Pontiac Vibe FWD 1SB) so here is the summary (I'm not sure if I posted it here before, but here we go): 1. The first gen Vibe rear was much sexier, the 09 facelift looks terrible. The MZ5 rear is ... Read More...
Re: Rondo Mazda5 [conwelpic]
Interesting, would that be for Canada? From Consumer Reports I see Mazda in 4th place, behind Honda, Subaru and Toyota With an overall score of 78 out of 100 points, Honda was followed closely by Subaru (75), and Toyota (74) in the overall score. Subaru is also the only automaker with 100% of its tested vehicles Recommended, although it has a relatively small model ... Read More...
Mazda5 vs Kia Rondo
Most comments are about the "design" of both vehicle. For the Mazda enthusiasts, I repeat that I was very pleased with my Mazda3...really! It nervous, cocky and stick to the road like no other cars I've had. I remember coming back home late and driving around 160km, luckily no cops around. The faster you seem to go the better the driving is, the aerodynamics! Thus ... Read More...
Rondo Mazda5
Hi, I presently have a Mazda3 on a 4 years lease and the return is schedule for this coming august. I looked at the different Mazda models and was disappointed that the brand new Mazda 3 models are almost the same as my four year old. I looked at the Mazda 5 and reading comments on the web I came across a road test mentioning the Kia Rondo. I went for a road test and was really ... Read More...
