My new 2007 Touring 5sp

I just got home after buying a 2007 Touring 5sp, no options. I had my bags packed for a 4 hour drive to D.C. to buy a 2007 Sport 5sp, but I decided to check the small local dealer first, Berglund Mazda in Salem, VA. As it turns out, they had the Touring 5sp as their loss leader in the local newspaper ad for 16995, incl. destination. A few hours later it was mine for 17858, ... Read More...

Bought Mazda5 Touring Automatic - Good Buying Strategy Included

Hi, I researched buying Mazda5's to death as I love a bargin. If I was younger and desperately needed the money I would have tried option #2 (buying a 2006 model). But it needed lots of research. It boils down to you can get a Mazda5 2007 Touring for $19700 or a Mazda5 2006 Touring for $19200-$1000 MAC rebate + Intersest paid. I chose the former since I had to buy out of ... Read More...

Re: Mazda 5 or MPV? [d5a]

The reason they can get you a much better deal on the 2006 MPV compared to the 2007 Mazda5 is the MPV is now discountined as of 2006, while the Mazda5 has been out for 2 years now, and gaining in sales as people realize that you get more bang for the buck and standard features for a smaller price. If you want more room than the Mazda 5 yet don't mind spending the money, consider ... Read More...

Navigation frustrating

We have a new 2007 White Mazda5 Touring. I originally hesitated to make the jump because my wife can only drive automatic and I was concerned about having only the 4 speed in automatic. But its seems to do fine despite the high revs. We were pretty disappointed in the navigation system though. We got it because of concerns about our small portable unit getting stolen ... Mazda5 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

My buying experience

Just got a new pearl white 2007 Mazda5 GT; only option was the homelink mirror. Paid $19,938 + $489 "consumer services fee" + TTL for an OTD price of $21,877. Great service from Sutherlin Mazda in Buford, GA. Hope someone finds it helpful when getting their 5! Read More...

2006 vs 2007

I'm considering a Mazda5 with manual transmission. At this point, there are no Touring models with manual in my area, and only a couple of Sports left. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer. 1) Besides the warranty, and colors, what has changed from 2006 to 2007? The window stickers show some additional details (like EBD) that were not on the 2006. ... Read More...

Plum Mazda5

I contacted Mazda USA and they told me that they are not going to start manufacturing any 2007 Mazda 5's in the new plum color until January. They said that these will go on sale in March 2007 at the earliest. They did tell me there is a black 2007 GT with a DVD on its way to Hawaii and a strato blue mica Touring just got in today. Unfortunately, all of the dealers in Hawaii ... Read More...

Re: Just bought [kw_da]

The selling price for the 2007 Mazda5 MT was around $16.8k including the destination fee- they threw in the cargo net and step plate. Cargo cover was extra. Oh, yeah, if you have a long drive to get to the dealer, make sure they have the accessories you want in stock before you go, too. I found the Mazda website inventory helpful in getting the VINs for the cars I wanted. ... Read More...

Mazda5 Tires & Wheels

Re: Planning to buy a Mazda5 2007 [adubel]

We've got 10,000 miles on our '06 5 speed with few regrets. The tires do spin on wet pavement if you try to accelerate quickly from a stop. I'm assuming they won't do well in the snow so I plan to replace the tires for the winter with some good all-season tires or maybe even winter tires. We have had no noises at all and it stops just fine on wet pavement. Of course, it's ... Read More...

Re: Planning to buy a Mazda5 2007 [adubel]

No sure what you've read, but traction of all vehicles are affected by wet weather conditions. I personally have not had any problems driving our Mazda5 in the rain for the past year. However, if you get a AWD RAV-4, then you'll get better traction in the rain because of the AWD. Also some of the trade-offs have to do with the tires. The Mazda5 have fairly aggressive ...
