Thanks for the feed back whobodym. I think I may have misunderstood the salesperson on the phone. At first he asked me about whether I had automatic climate control. I was confused by the question and said I had automatic transmission. He then told me he would ask around for me and that I should check online. Also it looks like Mazada/Rondo does not have really good MPG - but I think they can improve it. My 2008 Mazda 5 gets 29-31 MPG in mixed city/suburban driving on every tank. Including the first two tanks, the lifetime average (~6500 miles) is above 28 MPG -- with only one highway trip of 90 miles. Regardless of what you think, I see a relatively safe, six-seat, 3500 ... Good stuff, glad to see a happy big Rondo brother owner. Several of my neighbors have Sedonas, so it should be a good bet. To me, as I said before, it is still a KIA. (and I agree with the consumer reports you talk about, but still...). I agree with you regarding Honda cars. I've had 3 Hondas (brand new) before buying 2007 Mazda5 Touring. None of my Hondas ever ever had any problems (I stil own one with 80K). If Honda would have any similar car to Mazda5 (I know they do have them in Japan, japs are just too conservative with American market), I'd readily pay a couple grands more for Honda instead. ... Got it mrbwa1. Yes, I was one of the recalled ones :( but Mazda did a good job IMO. I was surprised about the "average" qualification as I owned a Honda, a Chevy, tons of Fords, VWs, Nissan and these 2 Mazdas so far so good (knocking on wood)! There is a new Mazda Service Bulletin, #01-008/08 dated Feb 13, 2008 which applies to all 2006-07 Mazda5s, manual and automatic, all of USA and Mexico (also Canada if they get "Fed Spec" too). The subject is "Engine Stumble while driving with light acceleration at 1500-2500 rpm" and it applies to all 2006-2007 Mazda5s, manual and automatic, federal, California, and Mexico.
