TSB Link for Mazda 5 Front Suspension
I am having the flexing/thumping noises from my 2007 Mazda 5 now that it's cold. I found the 208 technical bullentin that applies to 2006-2007. Here is the link. I already called my dealer; our Mazda 5 is still under warranty and I'm going to bring this with me to make the process easier. This Tch Bullentin is Called: Subject: NOISE FROM FRONT OR REAR SUSPENSION WHEN ... Read More...
Change Mazda5 disc brake pads?
My 2006 Mazda 5 needs new brakes at only 30K miles, according to my dealer. This is very low mileage for replacements, but seems to be in line with several other forum complaints (#22, 24, 37). Anyway, the rotors only have about 1mm of wear on each face, so they are not a problem. Does anybody know what the specs are for minimum rotor thickness? The pads are in fact getting ... Read More...
Mazda5 Power Steering Problems
Re: Power Steering Issue [xman2006mz5]
Mazda has no obligation to notify owners if it is not an official recall (or any other manufacturer for that matter). If it is a TSB (technical service bulletin), but it does not happen to your car, then Mazda has no obligation to repair nor change the part. For a TSB Mazda needs to be able to either see or replicate the problem so to take action. TSBs only affect certain ... Read More...
Re: Rear Door Locks Not Opening [nissmazlover]
For all the people who posted about the rear door locks not opening, can you report on your progress? I have a Mazda5 2006 year model and it does the same thing with the passenger side door. It will not open with the remote, but will open when you push on the inside front door unlock button. We have our car at Mazda today and they have said it has nothing to do with the recall ... Mazda5 Power Steering Problems
Re: Alignment Problem [m5indg]
I have an on going right pull issue with my 2006 Mazda5. I thought it was the tires, so I replaced them, had aligned and balanced at reputable shop. Mazda dealer/service started with the crown in the road and then wanted to do their own alignment, still pulled. Went back to tire place. They rotated the tires, replaced the tires, etc., still pulls right. Contacted ... Read More...

I have a 2006 Mazda5 GT, 5 speed manual. I have two major issues that the dealership cannot fix. The first is the headlights turn on and off on their own. It usually happens when the vehicle is warm but I drove thru the mountains and on my last trip the lights turned on and off 34 times. I have had this reported to the dealership for the last 70 000km, and they have looked ... Read More...
Re: Suspension Noise in Cold Weather [bman9]
Our 2006 Mazda5 has developed the same problem. First, it was a metallic crunching noise from the right front. Dealer replaced the bushings and control arm, and everything seemed perfect. Later, some noise returned, and it's been back to the dealer several times. They swear everything is normal, but we're experiencing the same handling problems you describe. ... Read More...
