2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback s Grand Touring 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 4cyl 5A)

Review

The Mazda3s Grand Touring hatchback is just a hoot to drive. I downsized from BMW sedan that I liked to drift, and while the Mazda3 can't drift it can dart and squeeze through traffic like the BMW just couldn't. The car is very practical, very fun to drive, the engine loves to rev and everything on the car is very intuitive. if you're looking for a small, fun, practical car - hard to beat this one as I looked at everything. closest to it is the VW Golf/GTI - and then you're talking German size repair bills in a few years. no problems with the Mazda so far and it has 15k miles on it.

Best Features

Steering - quick and precise. practical design of hatchback, stereo is fantastic for a factory stereo, blue panel lighting is cool.

Worst Features

Drop the smiley front grill - it just collects bugs.

Review

I examined all the levels of this car and found them to be vastly different in power and capabilities, yet all were well built. Now if you go out and buy the least expensive m3, it's the only one without power locks and hubcaps, well that's what you get. Fortunately if you upgrade a few thousand you get more power and amenities and the car is a different animal-= my sport hb is fast, out-handles my previous BMW 3 series and smokes my girlfriends Lexus is250 like its asleep. So if you know what you want and shop smartly you will have no regrets. Buy a base model and yes you get pinner tires and plastic hubcaps - but how can you complain its not a Ferrari when you know what you bought?

Best Features

Suspension , seats and seating position adjustability . Stereo -Bose- ergonomics

Worst Features

Temp gauge

Review

I was so pleased with my Mazda3 and my decision to change based at the time solely on the 0% ARP for 5 years versus my 2008 which had 5.9% for 5 years at the best month that year . I shave huge sums of profit taking interest and go myself a Better car-- far far better Than I anticipated-- more like a BMW eater and Lexus cheater- So what I do give a - about labels If it preforms and delivers I am on it - who cares what the emblem says unless you are insecure. Which leads me to this observation- I have been new car viewing the last 5 years with extra close attention to front end styling- You know what I found - Cars are starting to look more aggressive, mean ,and intimidating- why- insecurity

Best Features

The front end - perhaps some of you disliked this car initially because it was deemed to be "smiling" or "happy" = well - SO WHAT ? why does everyone feel the need to be in some ego- altering mug-faced car? is this a reflection on society today.. mean is good, and "bad" and happy weak and a loser? no

Worst Features

None except please add a thermostat gauge so we know when the dang thing is a running temp , I always wait until I'm 100% sure it's 190- before getting on it but would rather know exactly whats happening temp wise- This car is for those that don't need a pit-bull looking ride to be a man . but performs

Review

My last 4 cars were BMWs. When I purchased the Mazda 3 I expected a great letdown, but boy I am surprised! This car is a joy to drive. Very comfortable and surefooted, goes exactly where you point it. It has many features found on cars costing thousands more. Feels very solid on the road. On my 2nd tank of gas averaging 25mpg. The hatchback carries lots of stuff, just a joy to get behind the wheel.

Best Features

Blue tooth, interior features, lots of pep for an inexpensive car. Comfortable seats with good adjustment.

Worst Features

Needs a better horn

Review

This is my 4th Mazda that I have purchased. I owned '89 Mazda 626, a '09 Mazdaspeed 3, '08 MX-5, and now this '10 Mazda 3 GT Hatch. It's a great car with good MPG. The features of this car in it's segment absolutely blow the competition away. Trust me you won't be disappointed in what this car offers. It's very quiet inside the cabin and the engine is smooth and quiet as well. The features are insane! My car has: adaptive front lighting, fog lights, 6 spd manual transmission, 6 disc Bose audio system with 10 speakers, moonroof, bluetooth, leather seats, heated front seats, LED tail lights, automatic bi-xenon headlight, and many more too list. Truly the best bang for the buck!

Best Features

Hands-free Bluetooth, 6 speed manual transmission, Bose audio, leather seats, trunk space, quiet cabin, decent gas mileage, LED tail lights, automatic headlights with auto adjust, power seat with memory

Worst Features

Stiffer clutch, better braking, just a little bit more interior room. These are not deal breakers, just something they can work on, on the 3rd generation Mazda 3.
