Best Bang For Your Buck!
Vehicle
2007 Mazda MAZDA3 s Sport 4dr Sedan (2.3L 4cyl 5A)
Review
I purchased this vehicle brand new - 100miles of test driving. I fell in love with it the second I saw it and knew this car belonged to me the first time I drove it. It was a step down from the top line model, and it has been a great car. I keep up to date with the maintenance and it is pretty decent with gas averaging around 28-30mpg. It is always peppy and handles great. Not to add, the thing is a tank and really well built. I hit a truck drive shaft on the highway at 70mph and had no undercarriage damage - only a popped tire. Overall, the car has been great. I just hit 60k and thus far he's still trucking along. For a small car it definitely holds up. I am for sure a Mazda customer.
Favorite Features
Sporty exterior. Large cargo/trunk and plenty of little hidden extra storage. Handles great. Love the car.
Suggested Improvements
What Mazda did with the brand new 2010 Mazda 3 is exactly what I would have changed. Great car!
nice car overall

I have owned this vehicle now just short of 3 years and it has 27k miles. Overall it is a fine car. Peppy, responsive, and fun to drive. My wife wanted the automatic so that is what we got. The manumatic is a bit lame when it comes to shifting but it still provides some fun factor. Mileage has been pretty good, right around the ratings. All in all it meets my expectations. The negatives that have come to light are the following. The oem tires are awful for wear and handling on wet pavement. These will need to be replaced soon at $550 to $800 for the lot. I was disappointed to read in the manual that snow chains could not be used on models with alloy wheels. Vehicle is not good in snow.
Favorite Features
interior and exterior styling. responsive engine and handling. fuel economy. hatchback provides nice storage capacity. Headlights are very bright making night driving easier. Sound system is good
Suggested Improvements
Better oem tires. I would have gladly paid a couple hundred extra dollars at the start for a nice performance tire.clamps for a roof rack would be nice (like the mazda 5) More insulation to improve road noise issue (very loud on certain road conditions). The windshield wipers are also loud.
I have a Mazdaspeed3 and a 3 Sedan

Review
I personally own a Mazdaspeed3 hatchback and my wife enjoyed the sedan enough to want to get a sedan so we bought one. The interior on both is very nice and almost identical. My wife loves the look of this car and it is a very sport car with nice interior and looks on the outside. I had to add a rear wing to make it look sportier and upgraded my wife's interior lighting to LED's and upgraded her headlights to HID as well as upgraded the rims to 18-inch. The stock 16s are really ugly and too narrow so the fenders stuck out like crazy, adding wider and larger rims made a difference. Also the rearend is too high up so we had to install rear springs to drop the back down a bit to even it out.
Favorite Features
Love the interior, looks almost the same as my Mazdaspeed3. The color choices for the sedan are awesome! We have Aurora Blue which is a beautiful color not available on the Mazdaspeed3 which really disappointed me that the MS3 had so few color choices. The sedan A looks great overall in and out!
Suggested Improvements
I would suggest that they make the rearend look a bit sportier by lowering it 1/2 inch to even it out like the front so it doesn't look like a 4x4. Also, making options for lip kits would be nice as well. Also, some sportier wheel options and a stock rear spoiler would also work out well.
Best car for the money by far

Purchased this car as a commuter: 90 miles round trip up the canyons. Power is great and gas mileage is amazing. We average 35mpg climbing 2500 feet to get back home. We looked at the Corolla and the civic and there was no comparison. We went with the Mazda because of reliability, power, and gas mileage. It is also a much better looking car. This is our second Mazda, we still own the first: a 1990 Miata with 100K miles on it.
Favorite Features
Power, gas mileage, design.
Suggested Improvements
Did not like the leather interior so we had custom leather put in. Paint is horrible. Scratches easily, but then again my wife insisted on Black. And the horn is super soft. You will get a better reaction yelling than honking the horn.

5 door fun

Review
The 3 5-door Gran Touring is a solid, well put together vehicle that is fun to drive. As a suburban commuter, i get 23 MPH. The original Goodyear RSA tires were bad, only got 18,000 miles out of them, and they were terrible in bad weather. Put on slightly wider yokahama's that are terrific. This car is heavy, and a bit of a pig off the line, but at speed is handles well, accelerates well, and is comfortable.
Favorite Features
Trip tronic 5 speed automatic Bose system with sub-woofer Solid weight, drives like a larger sedan
Suggested Improvements
Get rid of the Goodyear RSA's Make the air filter easier to change

40 mpg - why no press for that?

It's quick when you need it, it looks like a sharp euro car, especially in White. I've driven 85k in the 2 years I've had it, not one problem except new tires, no surprise. When I use Mobil 1 5-20 and drive 55, I get 40 mpg! Can you show me another non-hybrid car at this price that performs like that? at under $14k, the 07 is perfect for anyone on a lower budget. The 2.3 engine is faster and offers more color choices, but you'll lose 5 mpg. The 2.0 is fast enough unless you have ego issues.
Favorite Features
love the sunroof/stereo package. definitely worth it. the ipod connection was a must have also.
Suggested Improvements
No excuse for not having a trunk button on the remote. I don't like speakers on the rear door as they loosen over time from doors opening and closing, and the sound absorption by the backseats dims the volume. Put them in the back dash. Gas cap should be on the driver's side, not passenger side.

This has been one of the best cars I have owned. I live in small town Oregon so rarely ever see a freeway or a big city. Mostly I drive 60 mph between towns. My gas mileage is 30.5 around town and 36mpg when traveling. The manual tran is fast and fun to drive. I have had zero problems in the 2 years with only required service when needed.
Favorite Features
Manual transmission. Gas mileage.Fun factor.
Suggested Improvements
None come to mind.

I love my mazda3. It looks great, gets good gas mileage, handles great, and has great features. Mine has heated seats, gps, leather throughout, mp3 hookup, and love the look of the hatchback. I have the slapshift and it gets up a lot quicker when using the stick. I recommend this car to anyone!
Favorite Features
gps, leather, mp3 hookup, choice of manual or automatic, heated seats, steering options, hatchback look.
Suggested Improvements
It doesn't seem to get up as quick as I thought it would being a 2.3 and the leg room in the back isn't real spacey, however I love it and all of its great features!

I Love My Mazda3

Review
This was my first brand new car purchase and my first Mazda and I love this car. I thought the automatic transmission was trash so I got the manual. I get about 26 to 27 miles per gallon under mixed highway and city driving. I drive it pretty hard (I can't help it; it's fun to drive). I got rid of the whip antenna and replaced it with a Shark Fin Antenna and the car looks really nice with it. My friend says it looks almost like a BMW! The car looks REALLY nice in Black.
Favorite Features
Fun to drive. Looks good. Spacious interior for a small car. Trunk isn't too bad either.
Suggested Improvements
Cheap paint job. It handles good, but wish it handled a little better. Maybe I need better tires.

I love this car, but would strongly recommend you get the manual transmission if you are after max fun. The automatic shift function is a joke. Off of the highway the 2.0L engine is almost just as fun and much better on gas, plus you can avoid those terrible 17" tires. 33K so far and nothing except basic maintainace and having to buy snow tires on steel rims and new street tires on the 17" rims.
Favorite Features
The manual transmission is great. Also the hatchback utility is so convient and looks good too.
Suggested Improvements
Tires- the 17" low profile tires don't last very long and are very expensive to replace $450 - $800. Plus if you live in the snow be ware. You NEED snow tires. Also mazda should make the hatchback with the 2.0L.
