Check the most recent issue of ConsumersReport. CX9's record is pretty good, though not top notch like Highlander/Pilot. However, it shows that CX9's repair records are mostly red circles (you know what I mean if you read ConsumersReport) other than body hardware, which is an empty circle (i.e. so-so). I am bit confused and looking for help. I went into a Mazda dealership for looking at a used cx9 and the car was already sold. So they offered me a 2009 cx9 GT with Bose and Moonroof. Sales person told he could match the price with the used car on this one as its the last 2009 model in their lot and they need to sell it. How much can I ask the car for. I think you can do better. What dealership are you working with? Any reason why you're leasing? There are strong financing options from Mazda (and elsewhere). There are excellent internet prices for CX-9s posted on Castle Mazda (find them through mazda's website), Ourisman Mazda, Heritage Mazda, and Fitzmall. jayrider, just a couple of thoughts from a non-expert here based on my current investigation of leasing a 2010 CX9. 1) lease rates are awesome right now - money factor i was quoted was .00060, which translates to a 1.44% interest rate for a 36 month lease with 12k miles 2) i'm surprised at the large down payment?? at least where i live (WA state), with the current Mazda ... I noticed a $595 'acquisition fee' on the paperwork - does anyone know if acquisition fees are applicable for S-Plan purchases? I thought they were exempt... Looks like a pretty good deal - about $500 over invoice, and less than what Edmunds says others are paying for the same model/options. If you want the 2010, you're getting close to the bottom, IMO. If you've read this forum than you probably know that you can save about $4500 off of invoice on the new 2009 models - at least until they run out, or Mazda turns off the incentive. ... Read More...
