Is quite a beauty, drive it. Is elegant, sexy & sport. Is the type of SUV that is not monster big like a Ford F150 or small like a Jeep, the size is perfect. The price is nice for the good vehicle you get.

Favorite Features

Bose radio, sexy & elegant look (exterior & interior), comfortable, power, electronic features & lights (exterior & interior).

Suggested Improvements

Please, in these days a car without an audio output or iPod ready is out of the question. This was a mayor disappointment. The tires steering is not enough. The small rear window is beautiful but not much visibility.

This was an awesome car. I would really recommend this car to families of 4 only. Back seat space isn't the best. But, it is a car with speed and if you are looking for a vehicle with good room, sexy design, and performance and last but not least, a MAZDA, then you will be in complete heaven!

Favorite Features

Everything.

Suggested Improvements

Back seats are short in width.

Review

The cx-7 is the worst front wheel drive vehicle I have ever owned. The standard equipment Turanza tires had to be replaced at first snowfall! It oversteers terribly and the check engine light has a mind of its own(No its not the gas cap, either)! Would not suggest to anyone living North of the Mason-Dixon!

Favorite Features

Lokks cool, but seats are uncomfortable and you can't see your gauges in normal daylight!A lot of blindspots as well. The wipers only clean about 70% of the windshield.

Suggested Improvements

Better tires(I put on Kumhos),different gauge design, more padding in seats.

I love this car. It is so much more than I expected it to be. It handles very nicely, easy to drive and it looks great. I have had no problems with it, it is very reliable and I love the features. I love the style, the closest to the Lexus SUV, that I could afford, and I am so glad I got this.

Favorite Features

Looks, style, handling. Lots of storage space in the rear, and I love the split seats. I have the cargo net and it works great with groceries.

Suggested Improvements

Lighted vanity, better radio, regular fuel.

Review

After having narrowed the choices to an Acura RDX or a Mazda CX-7, I am very pleased to say that after 6 months and 23k miles, the CX-7 was definitely the choice for me. With its more agressive and sleek exterior design, partnered with a handsome and roomy interior, the CX-7 definitely has the aesthetic advantage to every other crossovers in its class. The turbo-charged engine provides excellent acceleration, with no problems passing on the highway. The agile handling and precise braking on the most curvaceous suburban roads make for an excellent and fun drive, almost making you forget you're driving a crossover.

Favorite Features

Interior design (especially on the GT trim) is stylish, and the controls are well laid-out and simple. There are no abundance of buttons and gadgets that complicate the center cosole, making it very easy to use. Bose sound system great. Handling and acceleration is top notch.

Suggested Improvements

The little features found on luxury cars, like auto locking doors when the engine is started, along with cornering headlights would be nice. An auxiliary input for iPod and MP3 players.

Miserable Experience with the CX7

Review

The CX7 is a blast to drive, when it is running at least, but the driving experience can blind you to a cheap interior, a technology package that is woefully deficient, and a general feeling that the vehicle is not built with the quality it should be. Most of all, after 4 CEL problems and multiple experiences when the vehicle simply does not run, I believe the CX7 has some real engineering deficiencies. Run, don't walk, away from the Mazda dealership and do not get sucked in by the initial driving enjoyment. You are likely to face real problems down the road.

Favorite Features

Driving experience (when it runs) Exterior appearance

Suggested Improvements

An engine that works Better interior Technology package that allows full use of technology (such as bluetooth, and mp3 connectivity)

Review

The mainstay of this car is how it handles and stops. It drives like more of a car than any of the competitors in this segment. If you are looking for something a little more roomy than car but dread the blah design of some cross overs or mini-vans, this is a great alternative. The turbo is responsive and acceleration is swift, but could be better. Upshifts under full throttle hold on a little too long past the powerband. If you have a heavy foot, you will pay at the pump. Driving this car in a fun manner will push mileage down close to 15 MPG. If you drive normal, however, the stated 18 MPG in the city is realistic. On the highway, it has returned about 23 MPG.

Favorite Features

The Bose stereo is great. I opted out of the tech package so that I could integrate and iPod cradle and video feed for LCDs in the headrest. No need for DVDs! The interior build is great, the trunk is spacious, and it definitely has the heart of a sport car.

Suggested Improvements

Acceleration performance could be better with a simple tune. Rear seats can be little tight for tall people. The rear bumper guard should be standard to avoid scratches putting things in and out of the hatch. Need a bluetooth option. How about a light on the vanity mirrors?

Love the car but afraid of reliability. Been in shop 9 times so far for air pres. lights, check engine lights, power window problem, transmission computer problem. 3 gas caps, new gas tank filler line. Irregular tire wear due to misalignment. Just had 30000 mile check done. All seems well for now.

Favorite Features

Style, comfor,t performance

Suggested Improvements

Make it quieter and ditch to premie fuel requirement Also have run on reg gas several times and notice NO change in performance.

I've never been a Mazda fan until I purchased my CX 7 grand touring. I purchased it with 3171 miles and practically it is new. CX 7 has a very nice design inside and outside with a lot of options easy to use and also very good steering and brakes. You won't realize how fast it jumps to 80mph. Fun to drive.

Favorite Features

I love Bose system with 6 CD changer in dash and the climate control. Also in the dark the highway it is very well illuminated thanks to the xenon lights.

Suggested Improvements

I miss the green solar protective line on the top of the windshield. If it is a sunny day and your headlights are on you can see almost nothing on the dash. A little noisy till you reach 70 mph
