2008 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring 4dr SUV AWD (3.7L 6cyl 6A)
After test driving everything in the market, including Lexus, we decided on CX-9. It is amazing how well it handles... quiet, looks great, easily tows my entire family and two more friends with room in back for golf clubs. The problem is the nav... not cheap, but it's maps are 4-5 years out of date! Am told new DVD in fall 08 that we will have to pay for... ridiculous! Why didn't Mazda let us know? We would have waited. Bad experience with Mazda as I tried to get answers.
AWD (makes huge diff in rain going around turns on slick road), Bluetooth, build quality (solid and quiet), Bose surround sound stereo system, easy access to third row, remote trunk raise, slick design (gets a lot of praise, can't tell 3 rows from outside, but plenty big inside), feels much smaller.
Honesty, bigger sunroof, updated nav DVD/maps, door entry panel so you can get in without the key, factory install of headset DVD (rather than after market if you have the sunroof), make the nav so you can plan detours without having to start the trip 1st.
