Sounds like you have already made up your mind about the Best buy installer. I would not recommend a built-in unit. a portable unit is much cheaper and can move from car to car. I have a 2009 CX-9 and I set my protable unit on the console just in from of the shifter. It is fairly stable and I can hear all the directions. My Garmin was less than $100, ... Read More

I am officially boycotting Mazda. I have never leased or bought a Mazda before, but I really liked the CX9 GT. I have leased Audi, Lexus, and currently have a Mercedes. They would fight for my business and even offer me LOWER deals than what I ... Read More
I own a 2008 Mazda CX9. Unfortunately in March of 2011, someone ran a stop sign and rammed into the drivers side front and side of vehicle. Damage was totalled at right around $18,000 dollars. I don't have a Haynes manual but I do have a genuine Mazda Repair Manual and it is very descriptive and use friendly. Please do invest on an OEM manual instead. I found mine on eBay and it was in pristine used condition.
Thanks for the information coach. Just trying to do some preventative maintenance. Anyone with information on the Mazda Service Manual for the CX9? Is the manual descriptive like the Haynes manuals?
I purchased the front blower motor online from DealerDirectParts.com. Their cost was $465 vs. any Mazda dealer I talked to at $611 for the same part. I paid $12 shipping but saved $37 tax. Interesting....based on market conditions in our area (I'm in western CT, and NJ is in my market) $29,000 seems like a really good offer! Average retail price for your car is about $30,500. $29,000 is $1000 over market-ready condition on trade or wholesale purchase, which means your car would need no re conditioning, no tires or brakes. It's about $2,500 over market value if your car does need brakes and tires. ... Read More

Honestly tomhawk, after you get this whole BCM thing resolved, since they already started this whole thing, you need to find another more capable dealership. Sounds like those techs /dealership are a bunch of parts replacers rather then actual technicians.
ok, well its starting to be a joke. They said the tubes were kinked which then ripped causing the link. They replaced the BCM again. Now I was driving home and my sensors on the mirrors are not working. They are turned on. I called and they are going to talk with a tech and call me back.
I am begining to think that you are getting faulty BCMs out of the box and not being damaged by water from the sunroof drains but rather from water damage from the storage warehouses or shipment.
Well after only a month or so, they are again replacing the BCM module. Apparently due to water leak because of moonroof. This is the 3rd time of fixing this. I never even open my moonroof. I have had them in all my cars and never had a problem. Now lets hope my horns, locks, etc all work.
Well today I have new problems. I think I will be checking into the lemon law. It rained alot last night. you should check if the lemon law applies.

That website has been under construction for a while now. Glad that it is back on line. As expected, for 2007-2008, the new version is "F" with 2008.1 map. For 2009-2010, the new version is "B", also with 2008.1 map. If you buy a 2009 CX9 today, you may still get the "A" version. Talk to your dealer about this before signing on the dotted line. :)
Hold on. The "E" version of GP9A is for 2007 to 2008, not for 2009. I would advise you not to try it. The 2009 NAVI system is different from 2007-08 version. The disc is not compatible. AFAIK. Check with your dealer to see if I am correct. Source of my reasoning.... http://www.mazdaparts.org/mazda-navigation-disk.html See that in the pulldown menu, there is no 2009 CX9.
I hope you get your new map DVD. However, assuming that your 09 CX9 was made at the end of 2008, it is not unusual to have 1-year old DVD on NAVI system. This is a change in performance by our CX-9 as we did not notice this engine knock for the first few months we have owned the vehicle. Furthermore, we have two other vehicles that have no ... First of all a great big thank you to all who post here...without the information provided, I would not have gotten such a great deal. 2008 cx-9 GT (white) with blind spot monitoring, moonroof/bose/6cd pkg, Towing, and GT assist MSRP 39,210. Negotiated amount of 28,810 for a total savings of 10,400. I am in the Phoenix area and had a great buying experience from Camelback Mazda. We called them last night ... Read More
I guess I am different from you. What you mentioned are all valid except for the trip computer which has been added to 2009 model. (add a ScanGaugeII for your 2008 - it is more than just a trip computer). And what about the "prop rod for the hood"? To me, those are all small issues, some are even debatable to other customers. Sometimes, a design cannot please everyone. Sometimes, automaker ... Read More
Hi BCD31. Here's the information that you're looking for. Mazda is not providing lease support on the 2008 CX-9 any longer. It does have a special lease program on the 2009 model though. Its current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 20090 CX-9 Sport AWD with 12,000 miles per year are .00093 and 52%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top ... Saw the discussion about price. I just bought a brand new Touring '08 and was also skeptical about why there was an '08 out there (with 50 miles) in the Boston area. First of all, I think I got the best pricing by using Costco car buying program. It was a new hassle deal: You call Costco, they send you to a local dealer and the price has already been determined. ... Read More
Vishipat, I picked it up yesteray at Castle Mazda in Silver Spring, MD. Long train ride to buy a car but coincidently I had some business down there anyway. They were clearing out their inventory of 2008's, looks like they have one 2008 CX-9 GT left for $30,605 if their website is up to date (along with other models). And they post the price right on their site which is how ... Read More
When I was shopping for a CX-9 this past week in So Cal, I did see some 2008 sports models still on dealer lots. I also found by shopping via the internet through Mazda’s web site that discounts on 2009 sports started at $7,000 and many quoted $10,000 of sticker, so why not get a 2009?
I'm looking at a 2008 CX9 from a non-Mazda dealer. It has 15K miles. I would get the balance of the factory warranty. If I were to buy this car at a Mazda dealer, I would get it certified, which seems to be a good deal. I'm trying to find out if it would be possible to have this vehicle certified through Mazda to get the additional coverage?
I went Mazda dealer in Spokane, WA. The salesman showed me 2008 and 2009 CX-9. I checked the manufactured month/year labels for both at driver's side. The 2008 one has 04/08. And the 2009 one has 07/08. So, I asked to salesman about it. He said no idea. It seems wrong. Could anybody answer me about this issue?
Hi PodBimmer. Mazda's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 CX-9 Touring AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00093 and 50%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. The money factor for a Grand Touring AWD is the same, but the residual value is 48%. When negotiating your lease on this model, make sure to take advantage ... Read More
hi Carman, Can you please post the MF and residual percentage for a 36 month lease at 12k per year for both a 2008 cx-9 sport AWD? Is Mazda's captive fin co. providing the best lease package at this point? I am located in the Northeast (CT). Is their more incentive to lease a 2009 in terms of MF and residual? Probably wont get more of discount on a 2009 than ... Read More
I sure do, hbq. Mazda's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 CX-9 Touring AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00052 and 48%, respectively. You never mentioned how long you want to lease for or what mileage allowance you need, so I had to make some assumptions. Let me know if you want something different. When negotiating your lease on ... Read More
I have the same problem with my 2008 CX9. Only 8k on the clock, and the noise has been happening since day 1. No difference whether the engine is cold or hot, but mainly changing from 3rd to 4th gear. It has been back twice, with no success in fixing it, and it seems to be getting worse. At first they tried to tell me that it was because I had ... Read More
I have 17K on my 2008 CX-9 and for the last few thousand miles I hear the engine noise. It is subtle and I have to have the radio off and no other car noise nearby. It sounds like and engine tick or rattle when under load, mostly in the first couple of gears and between about 1500 rpm and 2300 rpm. I took it to the dealer on Tues. They ... Read More
