Just purchased a 2010 CX-7 Grand Touring. When testing it I was all thrilled with buttons on the steering wheel that I didn't even check the buttons on the console (front). Maavalous: I just picked up a 2010 CX-7 Sport Fwd and after reading the manual it appears that the auto-lock feature is provided as an option or possibly included with Touring models. You can set the auto-lock to five different modes. I don't have this feature on the Sport model. Hope this helps. Marty

Where the 2010 really shines in on the interior. Virtually the whole interior has been revamped with higher quality materials including the dash board, door panels, center console and center stack. I just saw one at a local dealer and the Sport version has a 2.3L non-turbo engine rated at 20/23/28 mpg and around 160 HP and torque, which is a step up mileage and step down in power from the turbo models. From the CX-7's transaxle to the rear the driveline is an EXACT duplicate of the Ford Escape, Edge, etc. That is incorrect. First, the Escape is 4WD, not AWD. Second, the Edge uses Ford's in-house built AWD system, similar to a Haldex FWD based AWD system. Mazda uses their own Active Torque-Split AWD, which is also a FWD based AWD system. With this type of F/awd(***), most of us know that the point at which power is taken off the "front" and routed to the rear driveline is actually, internally, from the front diff'l carrier itself or from the same point that drives the front diff'l carrier. For 2010 we will see some changes for the CX-7. There will be 2 engine choices. The exact specs are not known, however, it is presumed that one will be the 2.5L and the 2.3L DISI Turbo might become a 2.5L DISI Turbo. I would expect some interior enhancements as well. Hopefully better quality plastic more on par with the Forester or CR-V.
