2014 Mazda CX-5 Touring 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
ok...i'll have to admit that i'm already a little biased with brand loyalty - have had a 1990 protege with 270k before selling it, and still have 2000 626 with 307k going strong.
replaced my 2008 nissan rogue after it's engine blew out and came back to mazda.
bought it last week.
so far, 600 miles, very satisfied.
seats a little snug for me (am 5'11" and 260), but stil comfortable.
adjusting to tom-tom after having garmin for 5 years - slower than my garmin; BOSE sound is very good - i like the ipod connection and pandora.
acceleration a bit sensitive - downshifts quickly, but 10x better than rogue's CVT.
quiet and smooth.
will give update later
ride quiet and comfortable, love BOSE stereo with pandora, SiriusXM and ipod connection, blind-spot monitoring takes some getting used to, but nice to have.
still learning all gadgets - got the touring, with tech and moonroof/BOSE packages
none so far...will give another report after 5000 miles
update on this vehicle after 3500 miles....
still running great...comfortable, none of the complaints (ie wind noise, etc.) that the other reviewer had.
sound system great on long rides back and forth from VA to Baltimore...
however, only complaint is it has a horn that sounds like an emasculated gecko.....come on, Mazda, you could have done better with the auto horn.
i press on it and get looks like "...and what kind of wimp are you???..."
Thanks so much for your helpful review.
What about what the other commenter said about A/C not being cold enough when temps gets really hot?
Have you had this problem?
By now, I'm sure the summer is heating up in Baltimore!
