2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl 6A)
For many years I have been a faithful honda owner.
I recently purchase the Mazda CX-5 FWD with tech pckg.
It was a very difficult decison for me because I owned a 2006 Honda Civic.
The decision was difficult because with the Civic I got 40 mpg.
And with the CX5 in my research it only get 32 mpg.
I switch because I use to own a Honda CRV and I missed having the CRV.
I looked at Kia, Honda, Hyundai.
None of those came close to the mileage or additional options you get with the CX5.
I've only had the car for 3 days.
So far it's a great vehicle to drive.
It could be the bells n whistle of a new car that I'm liking.
Taking it on 4th july vacation.
Will update comments
I love the blind spot mirrors that's the best feature for me.
I like the back up camera very useful.
I also like the touch screen audio system.
I like being able to switch b/t auto/manual.
It's very comfortable seating.
The cargo space will do for my needs.
The advance keyless entry is great as well as the push button start/stop.
The bluetooth, homelink, USB/AUX are all nice features as well.
My main concern is the true MPG.
Will come back to update
This is not the vehicle if your looking for speed.
I'm never in a rush to get anywhere.
So the pick up n go speed is fine for me.
I'm a pretty laid back driver to I don't require a lot of horsepower/speed.
Drove long distance over the holiday.
Currently have about 893 miles on the vehicle.
Averaging slightly over 35 mpg.
I absolutely love this vehicle.
I will say the head wind makes it very difficult to hear the radio.
I'm still learning how to operate all the functions.
The steering/handling is awesome compared to the 2006 Honda Civic.
I no longer have any regrets.
