2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 2dr Regular Cab B2300 Rwd SB (2.3L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This little truck will get you from A to B with no problems. That is what I bought it for...that's what it does. It was pre-owned but sure looks and feels like new!
Favorite Features
Gas mileage, power is great for a 2.3 liter.
Suggested Improvements
More storage compartments in the cab (in the doors, arm rest, etc.).
A good value

I paid $18,300 for this truck brand new. There are probably better small trucks out there, but not at this price. For what I paid, I'm quite happy.
Favorite Features
Off road capability, exterior styling, reliability, snow traction.
Suggested Improvements
Better visibility for tall drivers, better fuel economy, more attention to fit and finish

Great Truck
Vehicle
2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 4dr Cab Plus 4 B4000 Dual Sport Rwd SB (4.0L 6cyl 5M)
Review
Perfect reliability, 18 to 20 mpg, this truck was a good deal when I bought it and has been everything I could ask for since. I traded in a 3 liter Ford Ranger I called the turtle because the motor (and transmission) was such a slug but the 4.0 is a much better powerplant and the mated automatic transmission is a world better as well. It tows a trailer quite well and has now been across country and back twice. Not plush but a great workhorse truck.
Favorite Features
4.0 motor, turning radius.
Suggested Improvements
Interior upgrades, leather availability, better radio.

2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 2dr Regular Cab B2300 Rwd SB (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

I purchased my truck online. I researched several brands, including the sibling Ford Ranger XL. I did not care for the Chevy or GMC/Colorado/Canyon. The Mazda had an excellent warranty and a $3000.00 cash back incentive. It works for me!
Favorite Features
48 month or 50,000 mile warranty. Cash back incentive!
Suggested Improvements
Increase engine size to 2.6 liters to compete with Toyota.

Your basic truck

2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 2dr Regular Cab B2300 Rwd SB (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

The only options I purchased were automatic transmission and air. Everything else was standard right down to the rubber floor mats. This truck suits me perfectly. Reliable, good gas mileage and good looks for a work truck.
Favorite Features
50,000 mile warranty.
Suggested Improvements
Clock built into radio only displays time when you push a button. I would rather see the time as the default display than the radio station.

Million Mile Truck

2004 Mazda B-Series Truck 4dr Cab Plus 4 B4000 Dual Sport Rwd SB (4.0L 6cyl 5M)
Review
I wouldn't own any othe truck. No one is putting more than 200 horse power in a compact 4d4 truck and offering a manual transmission and a tow package for less than $20,000. My 2001 is going strong after 650,000 miles with no major problems. Engines runs as good as new and has never been worked on.
Favorite Features
Power and comfort. I use my truck in my business and drive 3,000 miles per week, every week.
Suggested Improvements
Increase bed width between the wheel wells from 42" to 48". There is plenty of room to make the change, and with the 48" width, the bed could accomodate a full size pallet.

This is the 2nd Mazda truck I have owned and I am pleased with the overall quality, better warranty than the Ranger and Mazda dealers put Ford to shame in service. Fuel economy could be better and the 5 speed auto is alittle slow to respond but overall quality is awesome. Mazda only problem seems to be keeping dealers in stock on trucks.
Favorite Features
Body style of Dual Sport and firmness of ride. Seat comfort is better than most trucks out there. Fit and Finish is excellent as it is on all Mazda products, also have a Mazda 6
Suggested Improvements
Fuel economy is terrible and parts in stock at dealers could be better. Better access to rear cab on 2 door ext cab. Better choice of seat fabric
