Excellent truck
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 2 Dr B2500 SE Standard Cab SB
Review
The B-2500 series is a very good truck. I bought the truck new (in 2000) and have had it since. I have over 133,000 miles on my truck. It is very dependable. I just had my clutch replaced, but other than that, the truck is in top form. the exterior is in good shape to since I still have the original paint job. Highly recommended!

Look Out Ford
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 4 Dr B4000 SE Extended Cab SB
Review
This truck has exceeded all of my expectations for a small truck. We've hauled heavy loads over mountain passes, frequently taken it off-road and even commuted in it for a few months. It's comfortable and reliable. I was a Ford girl, test driving Rangers, when I found this truck for a better price. I have no regrets.
Favorite Features
Roomy cab. Nice security extras (I can turn on the dome light from across the parking lot at night). VERY reliable.
Suggested Improvements
I didn't like paying an arm and a leg to replace the microchip key (original owner had lost the spare) ... and it doesn't have an ashtray.

Nice little truck
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 4 Dr B3000 TL Extended Cab SB
Review
Getting ready to sell this truck, but it has been a very good vehicle for the past 5 1/2 years. Constant engine pinging forced me to use premium fuel (as per Mazda recommendation); O2 sensor went out early, but fixed fine. Didn't handle great in windy conditions. My dog loved riding in it!
Favorite Features
Roomy interior; liked the space behind the front seats (never used the jump seats); nice body styling.
Suggested Improvements
Peppier engine (only 135 hp for a V6).

B3000 is a good truck
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 2 Dr B3000 SE Extended Cab SB
Review
This truck has never been back to the dealer. We do oil changes as necessary as well as other maintenance. The only dig are the two jump seats as they are quite uncomfortable although the truck was not bought for them. We have loaded lots of dirt, towed trailers, and generally treated this truck like a truck and have no complaints.
Favorite Features
Rugged.
Suggested Improvements
Possibly better back seats and a better stereo.

Favorite Features

I wish the SX's came with cloth bucket seats.

Pretty good Truck
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 4 Dr B3000 SE 4WD Extended Cab SB
Review
Overall, this is a pretty good little workhorse truck. The dealer was responsive on the recall issues for the windshield wipers switch and the replacement of the central control system computer which eliminated the pinging problem. This truck has been very reliable and the costs for service at the dealership have been lowerthan expected. The B3000 could use more power.
Favorite Features
Great sound system. Extremely comfortable front seats.
Suggested Improvements
Suggest they turbo charge the engine for some help with power the issue.

Bought this '99 B4000SE 4WD in July 2001, very happy w/ vehicle. Std trans. w/ 4.0L 6-cyl is definitely truck-like - plenty of torque for hauling, but not zippy on the highway unless you really push up the rpms. If you accept that it's a truck and not a sportscar, it's a pleasure to drive, wonderful for hauling/towing, reliable, and handsome to boot. Ex. cab is not for adults, but just fine for my little boy. Body holding up well in Northeast snow/salt. Roomier-feeling cab than Toyota. Quiet for a truck, able to enjoy sound system. Overall, love it!
Favorite Features
Identical to Ford Ranger but less expensive.
Suggested Improvements
Suggest getting rid of Firestone tires (orig equip) and putting on a good pair of all-terrain tires - what an improvement in handling (esp. snow)! Replaced air filter w/ hi-performance, bed liner and edge guards, receiver hitch recommended if you do any hauling.

An OK Truck
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 2 Dr B3000 SX Standard Cab SB
Review
For a person who is not into trucks this truck is okay. Cannot complain about price. Truck was originally @ $15000.00 and got it for just over $11,000.00. Gas milage seems okay. Problem with sensors going out. I keep having problems with the engine "pinging" no matter what kind of gas is put into it. Have confronted dealership about "pinging" several times and I am not getting anywhere. Truck has 32 thousand miles on it.
Favorite Features
Color-Jungle green looks so nice when it is waxed up. Good sound system.
Suggested Improvements
No improvements on the truck really just the dealership I am dealing with.

My 2000 Mazda B2500 SE Regular Cab
Vehicle
2000 Mazda B-Series Pickup 2 Dr B2500 SE Standard Cab SB
Review
Overall, the truck has been a delight to own. Really researched my purchase and for the money, I think this is one of the best values on the road. To date, I've put roughly 60,000 miles on the vehicle and have had no engine related problems to speak of. The only "major" problem I have had was the heater went out at about 35,000 miles, which was promptly fixed by the dealership. As another reviewer mentioned, the CD player does tend to get excessively hot after extended use, so the CD's come out of the player nearly scalding hot, however the CD player and speaker system sound terrific. The gas mileage should be better, as I get 22 mpg with an automatic.
Favorite Features
For the money, one of the best values on the road (better incentives than its Ranger twin). Terrific sound system (standard CD player). Great reliability.
Suggested Improvements
Better gas mileage (22mpg with an automatic), no standard Firestone tires, truck may be too light (difficult to control in windy situations).
