I bought my 1995 Mazda LX 626 in 1997
when it had 11000 miles on it. I still
have it and now it has 160000 miles.
Although I have heard of others having
transmissions problems with automatic I
must have gotten lucky as I have had 0
problems with the trasmission. I have
always had it serviced regularly:
timing belts, slick50, fluids, etc.
Both front axles have had to be
replaced but that is the largest repair
to date. I do have a lifter clicking
noise. I have had it for a year or so
now. I get the heavier weight oil put
in on an oil change and the noise will
go away until I get close to the next
I have always felt the body style of
the 95 626 was better looking than its
competitors being the Accord, Camry,
Easier to get to oil filter location
and better knobs on the radio controls.
