Mazda 626 Electrical Issues

charge and rear light warning is lit, what does it mean?

I have a 1992 626 mazda, the battery died and replaced it two days ago. Upon replacing it i noticed the warning lights "charge" and "rear" is on. What does this mean? Could this be link to my alternator needing replacement or is it totally different prob? Im suspecting my alternator is gone, cos when my car is on idle i only get 12.9 V? Read More...

I was wondering if anybody knows anything about the 1992 mazda 626, with four cylinder and automatic trans? I need something to get around town in. I saw this one and it says it only has 80k miles on it and that it runs good. I've seen where a lot of these cars seem to have transmission problems, was this also the case for the '92? Did you get any codes Does it have a Ford EECIV connectior for the pcm If not getting codes is easy. It should have a ADL connector if it is all Mazda.Look By battery there is connector that opens and has pins inside.Do a search to find out how to retrieve them . This sounds like a sensor but by retrieving the codes you can start on the ROAD to find out which one . Good Luck ... Read More...

Yesterday I brought our 2000 626LX V6 Auto (66,000 miles) in for an oil change. After it was done the service writer said that the timing belt was due for a change. I checked the owner's manual which said that the interval in Massachusetts and four other states was at 105,000.
