I don't see any responses to that post, other than yours this afternoon. Sounds like a mystery console. Check Crutchfield again; they usually have radio removal instructions. The InstallDr.com may help too.
I'm needing to know the same thing, how to remove the center console but I can't figure out how to read the responses you received, only that you had 41 replies. Can you tell me where I can find them?
Hi, I have a 2004 Lincoln Nav 4X4 with problems involving the air suspensions for which I have spent a considerable sum of money for repairs during the past 2 years. Now the problem is back again. Is it okay to remove and replace air suspension with regular suspension without compromising its integrity and smooth ride? Thank you. George Asuega
I'm pretty nervous after reading all the brake issues with the Navigator. My friend has a 2004 with 43,000 miles that I want to purchase and I fear that her car is not exempt from the issue. She lives in Newport, RI and is state couselor. She actually travels in another car she owns...more fuel efficient apose the Navigator. Her prime reason for selling it, "she doesn't have much use for ... Read More

Do not PURCHASE Lincoln Navigator replacement suspension products from STRUTMASTERS UNLESS you want your once nice kick ass looking ride to look like a four wheel drive Hummer! No longer will your ride sit fat on 22’s and catch that look you paid for when buying the Navi…noooooo, now you get to look like a “ratard”. I purchased the coil over struts to replace my failing air ride system, and NOWHERE ... Read More

I just got home Friday at 6pm after a two day drive with one overnight stop and the SUV performed like new. I'm looking at purchasing a 2009 Navigator in Minnesota. I have a big family (6 people) and we're upgrading from a 2004 EB Expedition. Does anyone have any recent buying experiences (price/option) they can share? thanks in advance. I'm aware that Lincoln shut down production at the original plant and is restarting at a different location - any concerns about that re-start?

We have a Lincoln Navigator (2004) that currently has a whirling sound coming from the engine. When driving, it is noticeable when we accelerate/push on the gas. Once we let off, the sound dies down. I've also noticed it off and on while sitting idle. Anyone else have this problem and how did you end up fixing it? Thanks for all the help in advance! Sara
I have 65,000 on my 2004 Navigator and I was thinking of replacing the tires soon. New tires are around $200 each. I came up what I thought would be a cheap way to replace them. I would use my spare which is a new original to the car Michelin and get three others from the junk yard ( new spares off of totaled Navigators), tires are $100 each. These "new" ... Read More

I just have to add my 2 cents, dont I? In 2004 when I bought my Navigator, there was really no contest. So I was able to skim this comparo at the supermarket yesterday. They rated the Nav last amoung Escalade (4th) Infiniti (3rd) Audi (2nd) Mercedes (1st) These also go roughly in the order of how much they cost. Merc over 60K, Audi close 2nd when optioned, Infinit a relative bargain, Esc overpriced. THey said "Fun to drive the Navigator? - Fughettaboutit." Well, none of these things is a sports car. Does ... I've read the comments here and in the end I was dumb founded and surprised at the level of negative responses. It seems as though the people responding are not owners of current Ford/Lincoln SUVs. Regrettably, they tended to have issues with the design of minor cosmetic components (including the interior, body trim, etc.) ... Read More

2004 nav. 1. Drivers seat failed right after the dealer installed lo jack and security alarm. Dealer ordered new parts and fixed the seat. 2. Service department wrecked the car about 10 days after buying it. $1500 worth of damage, dealer repaired. 3. Passenger running board failed to operate maybe 3 times out of several hundred openings. The dealer must have known what the problem was because they fixed it. 4. ... Read More

I noticed one item the other day when I was comparing the window stickers of the 2003 to the 2004 Lincoln Navigator. So they are cutting back on their outlay for special services, just as they are being very strict "by the book" on my breakdown issue. Otherwise, both of ... Read More
