Review
A super car. I owned a 1993 Continental and felt it was underpowered, with the V-8 the problem was solved. The car was purchased new and presently has 146,000 miles. It runs great. The only major problem is the electrical; always a door ajar and the interior lights stay on. Help! I have replaced a hub bearing, starter, alternator, brakes, and power steering pump.
Favorite Features
Power, comfort, Nice car to drive.
Suggested Improvements
Exterior design - nose of car extends farther than you can see and it is difficult to park.
A great second owner car!

This is the best overall car we have ever owned. A great used car bargin! At over 40K new the interior build quality is not there. We have put almost 100K on our car and other than replacing most of the front suspension parts we have had no problems. At about 80K miles parts of this car will let you know it was built in the Dearborn area! We would buy another if they still produced them.
Favorite Features
JBL audio system.V-8 power with good fuel useage.
Suggested Improvements
Not an issue with the car out of production.

Enjoyed the pick up and reliability of the vehicle. the pearl finish was excellent except for some paint peeling on the door bumpers. The select areas for fiberglass was a good choice and eliminated any potential rust areas. The auto recall on the seats was enormously helpful since I've driven some without.

Review
Have always driven high end cars & saw this with 48,000 mi on it and want it. Got it for $7,200--No regrets. Great power, extremely reliable & very comfortable for short or long trips. Have 115,000 mi on it now with just regular routine maintenance, new brakes, new tires & new headliner. Exellent cost benefits ratio car to drive when bought used. Combined 20- 21 mpg at 60%/40% highway/city, not bad at all.
Favorite Features
Powerful front wheel drive engine very stable, good gas mileage, quiet, smooth ride, dependability, CD 6 pack changer, electronic dash instruments panel.
Suggested Improvements
Don't know what anyone can do with this now that the car is out of production, but for the $40,000+ 1997 $ it would have taken to buy this car new, I would have like to have seen a better overall interior high quality feel with a less overstuffed looking back seat.

Review
I bought a 1997 used Lincoln Continental for a measly 2900 bucks in December of 2004. It has proven itself to be a reliable, comfortable, and quick automobile. I have put about 22000 miles on it in a year and 3 months and the only repairs it required were brakes and a set of tie rod ends. It also is fairly economical for a large sedan with a V8, I get about 22.5 MPG average.
Favorite Features
Lots of power. Good front wheel drive traction. Quiet comfortable ride.
Suggested Improvements
Torque steer during hard acceleration. Dashboard is a little sub par.
