Review

My almost brand new 2009 RX350 was damaged in an accident so I replaced it with the new 2010 RX350. Because I loved my 2009 RX so much I really did not think any other options and did not pay much attention during a quick test drive of the 2010 model. As soon as I got this new vehicle, I realized that this is not the same RX anymore. The engine is so much more noisy, the transmission is not as smooth as the old model and the ride is simply not as comfortable as the old one. If you have an old RX350, you will know that the new one is not as well built as it used to be. I absolutely regret buying the new model. If you have an old RX350, don't replace it with the new one.

Favorite Features

Modern exterior design. Seat cooling.

Suggested Improvements

Improve fuel economy (worse than old model). Luggage cover (bad design causes rattling sound and I am waiting to get a fix). Bad design between the front row seats. But the number one improvement should be BUILD QUALITY!!!

I bought my 2010 RX350 on Halloween. I love this vehicle. I downsized from a Landcruiser and I don't miss the big truck for a second. The Lexus is so fun to drive, handles, great, has all the bells and whistles including, push button start, Nav, Bluetooth, UBS cable hookups, wood steering wheel. The cargo space is bigger than it looks. I have 2 car seats in the back and loaded up the hatchback yesterday with no problem. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I could fit in the hatchback. The Lexus handles like a dream and is super user friendly. You will get used to the mouse very quickly and will love this vehicle!

Favorite Features

Push Button Start, Keyless entry and lock, bluetooth, ipod display and hookup and storage in console. After factory installed DVDs put in by dealership allowing for 2 different movies to be played at the same time, one for each kid.

Suggested Improvements

Give more wheel options for an even sportier look.

Picked it up a month ago. Love the Nav system - very user friendly. The mouse and menu are great to control climate, radio, etc. Drove on a dark winding road in the mountains and the swiveling xenon headlights are fantastic. As other folks have pointed out, the chemical odor is nearly overwhelming when you first pick it up. Parked it in the garage with windows open for a week.

Favorite Features

Nav System Mouse/menu controls Swiveling xenon headlights Sound System/XM radio Cargo area

Suggested Improvements

The southpaw driver's side cup holder is a bad idea. Why bury the AC sockets in the bottom of the console? Address the chemical odor - eliminate prior to delivery. Make eDestination available during trial period.

I just traded my 2006 Cadillac DTS for a Lexus RX 350. The Lexus is everything I expected, but I miss the Cad. Almost everything is done well and works as designed. Unfortunately, for a Luxury car, it just doesn't ride like a luxury car. The Cad was much better in ride, handling, power, and mileage. I wish now I had bought the Lincoln MKX .

Favorite Features

Easy to get in and out. Toyota build quality. Resale value.

Suggested Improvements

Moon roof noise when open is inexcusable. There is no pop up protection to cut down on the noise. MP3 and power connections are impossible to reach when driving. Rides like a truck instead of a luxury car. Yes it has a short wheelbase, but BMW figured it out, why can't Lexus?

Previously owned "11" Lexus RX's & very satisfied! Extremely disappointed with new 2010! Lexus went downhill on this model! The wind noise is terrible! Sounds like front windows are always cracked open. Headrests & seats very uncomfortable. Won't cool. NO more arm rests! Interior lost most of wood trim. Glove compartment, visor mirrors & holder for sunglasses made of flimsy plastic. Horrible console design. Lid does not open fully & is awkward to reach inside. 12V & USB buried at bottom of console. Need a flashlight to find them! Awkward space under console. No illumination on garage door buttons or reading lights. Hit & miss in the dark. Backdoors part of fender wells & will not stay clean. Our 2010 will be in the dealership for a week having door windows replaced. They think it will help stop the loud wind noise! We've had a great relationship with our Lexus dealer for many years. Too bad Lexus failed to deliver quality on this model.

Favorite Features

Backseat has cup holders!

Suggested Improvements

We want quality, comfort & overall improvements... not less of them. Disappointed it hasn't measured up to our past RX's!

Review

Excellent ride and interior comfort. Great attention to detail as only Lexus can provide. Good road feel and you feel in command of the car. Far advanced from the 2001 Lexus we owned.

Favorite Features

Interior-well appointed and driver friendly. Navigation system is excellent- easier to use than the B.M.W. technology. Very quiet on all road surfaces. Truly the next generation of Lexus.

Suggested Improvements

Some rural areas are not covered by the software of the Navigation system as yet.

I owned a 2006 RX330 that the radiator cracked at 40,000. After limping into the dealership for a warranty replacement radiator, I thought I would browse the 2010. The Matador Red was glowing in the sun and I was wowed with the new design. I traded my 2006 in and have had the new one for 3 weeks. The driving is so sporty, tighter suspension, extremely smooth and quiet, great acceleration, always get compliments on color. Huge driving difference between 2006 and this new beauty. I don't have sports package but 19" chrome wheels. Luxury, comport and nav package with parking assist (which is awesome) and came with tow package.

Favorite Features

Navigation system is awesome, nice bottle holders in all 4 doors, most comfortable seats, more roomy, wonderful ride, better gas mileage, parking assist awesome, great voice integration with nav, mirror controls back on door.

Suggested Improvements

Clock in odd place, very difficult to find usb hookups in bottomless center holder, no coin holder, seat warmers in very odd spot.

Review

Okay, so no matter what any of these reviews say, none of this applies to my vehicle. The interior quality and design is superfluous and soft to the touch though it is true seats could be a little more cushioned. The ride is very soft though the power is there if u want it. Everything in the car works as advertised and I love it. Wind noise may be a little intrusive at highway speeds, but you could just roll up the windows and crank up the mark levinson audio system. For those looking for an all around great and functional crossover, you don't need to look farther than the rx350. I have test drove the ML, X5, MDX and none of these cars are as comfortable as this RX. It truly is the drivers SUV.

Favorite Features

Remote touch, interior quality, smooth ride, audio system and just about everything else including voice control.

Suggested Improvements

Seats could use a little more cushioning, second row leg space is slightly limited if the driver is tall and moves the seat all the way back, wind noise is slightly intrusive, navigation voice is slightly low and can sometimes be hard to hear.

Review

I got a great deal on the car but in my 112 mile drive home my back hurts so back I need to return the car. My rear and back really hurt and this morning I am still hurting. I love this car totally but am so bummed out that the seat is so hard that me as well as my passenger could not get home fast enough after the first 50 miles. I am so disappointed as it is the most I have ever paid for a car. Everything else is amazing.

Favorite Features

All but the seats.

Suggested Improvements

Seats are horribly uncomfortable and anyone over 40 will be terribly uncomfortably unless you have 30 plus extra pounds in body weight.

Problem with loose right front bumper

Review

After a few weeks, I noticed that part of the right front bumper was sticking out and up. I found out that it was loose. The left side is OK. I took it back to Crown Lexus of Ontario, CA whose service rep said that they know about the problem. I was given a similar vehicle and I noticed that it has the same problem. When I picked my RX350 up, it had the same problem. They told me to drive it until Lexus can find a better solution to just installing a "bracket". I am still waiting for them to fix the problem. Check your 2010 RX350. It proabably has the same problem.

Favorite Features

The options:Turning headlights when you turn, motorized rear door, auto- shutoff of high beams.

Suggested Improvements

Give the driver the choice of turning off the auto dimming rear and side view mirrors, tilt the side view mirrors more downward, relocate the parking brake pedal, give the driver the ability to turn off the Eco indicator--it is very annoying when it turns off and on.
