My factory warranty is about to come up on my 2005 RX 330 and I have been debating if I should purchase an extended warranty. I have recieved a qoute for $2350 for 7yrs/100,000 miles from my local Lexus dealership. Can anyone let me know if this is a good price or what amount has been paid for this warranty. My 2005, Rx 330, with 68K needs the strut mounts replaced. The local Lexus dealership already replaced the struts, which was covered by warranty, as the vehicle had below 50K at the time. I'm thinking the dealership should cover the strut mounts? Does anyone have any information for me to use as ammo? Read More...

I just bought a lexus RX 330 2005 with 60,000Km (certified by the Lexus dealer) . I find it has wierd AC behaviour. It was very hot two days ago, around 33 degrees celsius (90 F) and the AC was fluctuating between very cold air and mild cold all the time. Here's the deal, I've got a 2002 RX300 with 83,000 miles on it. It was meticulously maintained and oil changed every 3000 miles. I often used Mobil 1 too. Last week as I'm driving home from a road trip around 300 miles, the oil light comes on. The online technical specifications and the sales brochures, dealer supplied and online e-brochure, for the RX350 continue to state that the AWD system is based on the VC, Viscous Clutch, across the center diff'l.
