Mac, Yes you should. If it has only 36000 miles the inverter is warranteed until 70,000 miles by Lexus. As of now it also appears that Lexus is replacing the inverters regardless of mileage..basically a recall. Anyway, the inverter problem only applies to 2006 models and some early 2007 models. Traded in my 2007 RX 400h AWD bought January 2007 with navigation, premium plus, heated front seats, 18" aluminum wheels, wood interior trim, towing prep package which was a MSRP of $49,866 (including the 715 destination charge at the time) for $25,000 towards a 2010 RX 350. I have a 2007 RX 400h with factory installed Michelins with over 15,000 miles and no discernable wear. I keep 35 pounds of air in them and rotate every 3,000 miles. Alignment is done annually.

I've got my RX-400h 2006 just a month ago, and have got 23.5 MPG average for a long trip (Seattle->San Francisco->San Diego->Las Vegas->Yellowstone->Seattle). Before Lexus, I had Prius 2007, and for the first few months I had pretty good MPG about 45-50 average. but then I went to 40, or even 38. I'm told the hybrids come loaded (nav/levinson) which is fine. Texamau1, I purchased my wife's 2007 AWD-400h with Premium Package at Sterling McCall Lexus in Houston, TX for 46000. They had to import the vehicle in from Oklahoma with the specs that we wanted. I worked with the Internet sales there and they were outstanding. Good luck to you.

$45K for RX400H with Nav is a great deal! I just bought a 2007 RX400H from Northpark Lexus in San Anotonio for $46.5 plus TTL. It came with premium plus package, navigation, heated front seats, 18" wheels, towing prep, wood steering wheel, cargo mat, and wheel locks. I have a 2007 400h as a loaner while my 2004 RX330 is having routine maintenance. I love my RX, but I like the 400h even more. With that said, there are several things Lexus needs to add/upgrade in the next 400h design (and the gas RX for that matter) before I will buy one. 1) IPOD/MP3 integration. From the Lexus website - its $43275 for an AWD. Isn't that about $3k less than the 2006 model MSRP? What gives? I thought I read it's basically the same as 2006 so maybe a cheaper productivity on Lexus part? http://www.lexus.com/models/rx_hybrid/price_options.html
