    Let me start by saying they have all been very quiet. I was most impressed with the quitness of the 1999 rx 300. I think because it was my first Lexus.     My 2005, Rx 330, with 68K needs the strut mounts replaced. The local Lexus dealership already replaced the struts, which was covered by warranty, as the vehicle had below 50K at the time. I'm thinking the dealership should cover the strut mounts? Does anyone have any information for me to use as ammo?

    The car has the Michelin (tires), which I'm not certain if it makes any difference. It makes a very big difference. The Goodyears are the main culprit.     I have the same problem with my RX and am going to meet with Lexus for the third time next week. The first two visits they acknowledged the problem and replaced some rubber seals around the doors, but there was no significant improvement. The engine/wind/road noise level in my RX is totally unacceptable. But I spoke with a couple of RX owners, they all praised how quiet the car is???

    I am in the Seattle area, but bought my 2005 RX 330 through the Internet Sales Dept. at Lexus of Riverside (Southern California) at the end of December for $37983 (MSRP was $42,483 then, but I think that has increased by $250 since), which included shipping to Portland!     I was at Stevens Creek Lexus in SJ today dealing with the internet dept. They quoted me a price of $38,857 (before tax & lic) for a 2005 RX 330 with Premium Plus pkg. It was $1300 over invoice according to Cars Direct info. I did not want Navigation or Mark Levinson pkg's. Is this good or kind of high?

    Just wanted to thank davo418 for posting your pricing on the 2005 RX330. I took your information and got the exact same package at Ray Catena Lexus in NJ for $40,600. They said Prestige Lexus was a big competitors of theirs and wanted to give me a better price. I'll be picking up the car on Monday.

Although the dealer did not have an explanation, I wonder if this reduction is a result of changes made to the computer-controlled transmission to improve acceleration and remove the transmission lag some people have complained about."
