This is a WONDERFUL SUV. I did upgrade
the tires to Pathfinder SUV and find
they are better than the original
ones. I've had really no problems of
any magnitude. Would I buy a new Lexus
again? Definitely YES!

Brought my 2001 RX300 AWD/w Navigation
in May 2004 the overall cars is nice,
it has SUV performance with a luxury
sedan style and drive. I got rid of my
1999 Acura 3.2TL for the RX and the
ride is alot different. The pick up is
alot slower on the RX, the leather in
the RX is too soft, easily wrinkled.
Both have all of the same features.
Salesman at Lexus dealer-superb.

I bought an rx300 in sept. of 2003.
So far i havnt had any problems or
concerns, suv is still in same shape
as I bought it in. A couple days later
i was on a highway and the skid
controld has saved me from plowing
through an off ramp. I guess I was
just going to fast without realizing
it (engine is very quiet)and the
wheels that skid braked to control the
car. Im thankful for an great safty
feature. This suv is well worth the
money.

I've owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees since
1994 & although I loved how those SUV's
drove, reliability & repair costs were
not fun. The '01 Lexus RX300 is
everything I expected ... great
performance, excellent reliability, &
luxurious interior. Somewhat pricey
but well worth it over the long term.

I sold my 99 RX300 thinking that a BMW X5
was the perfect car. While the performance was
outstanding, it made me drive too fast. I
missed the RX quiet, creature comforts, 12 CD
changer and quality (tho I never had a problem
with the X5 in the year I had it I bought a 2001
RX with a Navigation system (which I love
and use), heated seats, & Xenons, I added X5
Michelins and chrome mags. Now it handles
nearly as good as the BMW X5 did. And Instead
of 16mpg I am getting 21 (on regular gas). In
short, I love this car, and it was alot cheaper.

We were thoroughly impressed with this
vehicle since first test driving one in
2000. Thought about an '04
(they are very nice,too), but the
'01-'03 model is just more fluid, had
better takeoff, and considerably less
engine noise. The interior is
definitely upscale. All that wood makes
you feel like you're driving around in
a den. More leg room, especially in the
back, than most of the other SUVs we
drove. We have the blue mist with black
leather,with every option except AWD
and Navigation, and it is simply
beautiful. This is one nice vehicle.

Has the advantage of an SUV, all wheel
drive, sitting up higher which improves
visability,etc. without compromising
ride and luxury. Slightly higher center
of gravity does not effect stability.

Basically a Toyota with the "consumer-
based" sales and marketing of Lexus.
Fairly enjoyable car, but a bit
overpriced for what you get.
Definitely worth waiting for a used
one after depreciation. Love the
navigation system; don't get without
it!

vehicle for Minnesota. We found it.
The RX300 (after test driving many
comparable vehicles in the same
price range) has an extremely quiet
and plush ride. The refinements in
the cabin such as the audio system,
the NAV system, and even the cup
holders were well thought of and top
quality. Our RX has 62000 miles,
36000 when we purchased it and we
have not had any mechanical
problems or electrical concerns to
date. We would definitely buy this
vehicle again.
