So purchasing outright seems to make the most sense for me. I hadn't paid much attention (Driving to damn much), but my 2008 Avalon (purchased 10/2009) has 65,000+ miles on it, in just over 16 months, and a few long trips coming up. I guessing at this rate, I'll have about 85 - 90,000 miles on it when it turns 2 years old. WAY to many miles per year to lease ... Read More
Ok, so they aren't the same car, but here's what I'm up against. I put on 35,000+- miles a year, my 2008 Avalon Touring edition (Purchased in 2009) has 65,000+ miles on it. my local Toyota dealer is offering me a 2011 Avalon Limited Edition in Pearl White at a very good price, and now a friend is offering her 2007 Lexus LS 460 with 42,000 miles on it for about ... My parents are visiting me in the Florida panhandle in their 2008 LS460. This is my dad's 5th Lexus and he stated clearly, his last. At purchase, the radio reception was horrible. After multiple dealer visits, they replaced the receiver module in the dash, after waiting weeks for the parts. A dead battery a couple months ago was blamed on a dome light being left on, although the doors supposedly close ... Read More
I'm looking for a class-action law suit for the 2008 Lexus LS460. Please reply if you have seen this information on many website. Thanking you in advance for your kindness and cooperation concerning this matter.
Have had my 2007 LS in many times for this problem. They always give me the same answer. No service bulletins and nothing shows on their computer. Cannot duplicate the problem. Evidently, they have known it was a problem for a long time. Foreign material? Who are they trying to kid. These are valve springs, not fuel injectors. Isn't it interesting that they will not recall 2009/10 LS models. When exactly ... Read More
My LS 460 HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES FOR THIS WIND NOISE! NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER. MY NEXT STEP WILL BE A LAW SUIT. IT DONT MAKE SENSE TO PAY OVER 70TH DOLLARS FOR A LEMON. I HAVE DRIVEN LEXUS SINCE 1994 BUT I WILL NOT BUT ANOTHER UNLESS THEY MAKE THIS RIGHT.
We have a 2008 460 LS which sounds like a diesel. The noise began approx. 3000 miles. On our third visit to Lexus for service, the service manager acknowledged the noise. He stated that this was a common problem with the pump and injectors. They stated to us that they do not know why some 2008s have the problem are not. They are certain that there is nothing wrong with the ... Read More
I just bought a 2009 LS SWB, RWD. Sticker was $66,034 I paid $58, 800. You can easily take off around 10% off the sticker. My local dealer in Maryland was selling me a used 2008 model with 13, 500 miles for the same price. SK
Hi richz. Here's the information that you're looking for. Lexus Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 LS 460 with 12,000 miles per year are an unattractive .00285 and 44%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Tier 1+" credit tier. According to Edmunds’ TMV pricing, the 08 Ls is already selling over 17k off the MSRP. "On December 2nd, Lexus raised its dealer cash incentive on the 2008 LS 460 from $4,000 to $6,000" heh heh, thanks for the info. I know about the $4000 rebate but did not know that Lexus raised it to $6000. Look like dealer is making out o.k. I think the incentive is being used for lease as well as purchase, otherwise dealer will loss money on the discount on my car. ... Read More

Lexus of Albuquerque, NM had two Black on Black, 2008 LS460s left this past Sunday. They are loaded at $72K and $76K if memory serves me correctly. On Halloween, I purchased a white 2008 LS460 without Mark Levenson, but with Nav. MSRP was $68,700 and traded in a 2006 LS 430 with 15K miles. Good Luck on your quest.

Does anyone think it is appropriate for Lexus to release the 460 without checking the wind noise problem on the driver's side? That is very "unLexus-like". I have had my 460 for about 3 months now and it still boggles my mind that I have to put a duct tape on a >$70K vehicle to avoid the whining noise!!!! Yikes, Lexus needs to do something fast to avoid eroding the customer ... Read More

Based on current Lexus Financial money factors, residuals and assuming a cap cost around $2500 over invoice (based on a vehicle that MSRP's at around $69k) you're looking at between $950-$1000/mo with drive offs only. Hi sprinkler13. A 48 month lease of this car is a much better idea than a 60 month lease for a number of reasons. First, Lexus' special lease money factors are only available for up to a maximum of 48 months. Also, 5 years is a long time to be committed to one vehicle. A lot can change over that period of time. You could want a new vehicle because your ... Read More

Hi scotomata. .00295 is an attractive lease money factor for this model right now. This is much lower than the factors that I have seen being offered by Lexus Financial Services. Lexus Financial Services' allows consumers to buy down vehicles' money factors by making additional security deposits. ... Read More
You're very welcome, jrunco. I am glad that you enjoy this discussion so much. Lexus is not currently providing any lease support on the 2008 LS 460. I don't know how they fixed it on the assembly line. Since I never had the noise, I really don't know where it was coming from. I've read that it was coming from the outside mirror. I've also read that Lexus dealers are installing laminated glass on earlier SWB's, but to me this is unfortunate because it simply masks the noise rather correcting the cause of it. My LS 460 SWB ...
