A reply to Diamond - I was in the same boat as you. My 200 Lexus was up on June 24th. I asked the leasing company for a 3 month extention - they only gave me a 6 month or 12 option. After speaking with my dealer - the leasing company agreed to extend my lease to 3 months so I would be ready to buy the 2004 LS 430. Hope ... Read More

  • 26 Years with Mercedes Makes Me a Lexus Buyer

I have been a Mercedes Benz owner for 26 years, and plan to sell my 2001 CL 500 Coupe to buy a 2004 LS 430. My dealership does not care. For the first time in a decade, my new MB has problems. The car did not start the day I picked it up at the dealership. To this day, windows work some of the time, and stay down. This creates a ... Read More

I had my car in for service recently and also asked the question about body style change of the service manager. He said that "officially" no major body style changes but there would be options for more powerful engines including a 360 v-8 and probably a v-12 as ... Read More

I am looking at buying a new LS 430. Anybody knows if there is going to be a radical change in the design for 2004? is the story of "Autopsies" true? any other web site that shows the new design? Lastly how much Lexus is discounting the LS during the december to remember sale event?

If there is any hint of veracity to the rumors, why would Lexus make changes to the LS 430 so early? The car is still a formidable competitor to the S-Class, 7-series and Q45. I'm thinking that Lexus would wait until the fourth model year of the generation, probably fall 2004, to make any dramatic changes. Lexus probably has the legacy of the LS already planned. Starting with the second-generation, Lexus ... Read More

Lexus DEFECTS: First let me say that I firmly believe that the LS400, 430 is the best car one can buy for the money there is today. But ALL of the Lexus vehcicles share two common defects. First, the interior surface of the windshield will suddenly fog over, spontaneously, in certain climatic conditions. AND, in addition, they all lack the ability to QUICKLY remove condensation from the interior windshield surface. Quietness, ... Read More
