Luxury Hybrid that actually saves fuel
By TampaBayDriver on

2010 Lexus HS 250h Premium 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Unlike some of its Lexus Hybrid siblings, the HS is actually saving fuel. Regular gas and 31MPG in luxury automobile is fantastic. The car drives well and has surprising get-up when mashing the pedal - perhaps a reason for my "low" MPGs. The look is quite and classy but with enough there to make you go hum? Think a Talbot suit with Victoria Secret undergarments.

Best Features

Easy and feature filled NAV. Keyless entry and start. Comfortable front seats. Voice command. Down-loadable destinations. USB Ipod connection. Seemingly endless personal configurations. Nice sounds w/o Levinson option. Great & typical Lexus service, even though the finance guy was typical too.

Worst Features

More cup holder/storage, it's a Japanese not a German auto! A larger moon roof like in the BMW, Mercedes, and even VW. Have not found way to remove the beeping when in reverse - but still reading the voluminous manual.

Interior Back up alert sound can be changed from the annoying continuous warning to a single chime when you initially engage reverse by the dealer. Free under the warranty as part of the Lexus Personalization Feature.
