2006 Lexus GS 300 Road Test Ratings

It may not have the driving dynamics of a true sports sedan, but the look and feature content of the Lexus GS 300 earn it an above-average rating.

The six-cylinder engine produces decent power, but the electronic countermeasures cut in too early and too often for this to be a legitimate sports sedan.

The cabin is spacious, front and rear, and the comfortable seats are covered in soft leather. The ride is both soft and quiet.

As is the case with most Lexus production, the cockpit controls are well thought-out and very logically placed. Some of the minor secondary controls are concealed in a unique fold-down panel.

Build quality is up to the usual Lexus standard. The exterior, an evolution from the previous model is sleek but not daring.
