I currently drive a 2004 RX 330. I have had two Lexus' prior to my RX330 including a 2001 GS300. I am quite impressed with the new GS300 and would like to buy one by the end of the year. You either love a Bimmer or Mercedes or hate them. I never owned a Bimmer, but my wife has said if I ever want another Mercedes it has to be with my 2nd wife!!!! I have friends with Bimmers and they are expensive to repair and need more repairs than their Lexus ever needed. Some facts: 2004 GS 300 weighed 3,649 lbs had 220 hp @ 5,800 and 220 lb-ft @ 3,800 2006 GS 300 weighs 3,536 lbs has 245 hp @ 6,200 and 230 lb-ft @ 3,600 The 2006 GS 300 hp/lb ratio increased by 15% and the tor/lb ratio increased by 7% - is this enough for Lexus to claim that the 0-60 time dropped from 7.8 seconds to 6.8 seconds? It is priced just under the GX according to the web site you mentioned. AWD and RWD is about 2400 CAD difference. the 2004 GS 300 cost 61700 and GS430 was like 69500. Quite a jump on pricing. Why?   If that is the new pricing plan for Lexus, I expect same for IS and next ES. Read More...

Last year I made a terrible mistake and traded my beloved 1999 gs300 in for a 2004 acura tl. The looks of the car and some of the gadgets grabed me and I made the purchase.
