I currently drive a 2004 RX 330. I have had two Lexus' prior to my RX330 including a 2001 GS300. I am quite impressed with the new GS300 and would like to buy one by the end of the year. You either love a Bimmer or Mercedes or hate them. I never owned a Bimmer, but my wife has said if I ever want another Mercedes it has to be with my 2nd wife!!!! I have friends with Bimmers and they are expensive to repair and need more repairs than their Lexus ever needed. The GS's mid-cycle freshing, when it became 300 and 430 in 2001, looked EXACTLY the same as the old car. Only Lexus freaks could tell that the headlights had been tweaked a bit. So for the GS, its a major depature. If you feel the previous gen was good enough, dont buy a new 300 for 37. You can get a certified pre-owned and loaded 430 for less than that, and it will flat ...
