I just bought a used 2005 Lexus ES 330 and realized the vehicle operations manual is missing from the glove compartment where it is supposed to be. I suppose the dealership is not obligated to supply the new owner of the vehicle of such a manual when it turns out to be missing. Can I order this manual from the Lexus dealership and how much do they cost?

On my 2005 ES330, the hesitation happens sometimes if I accelerate slowly. If I need to merge onto the freeway or otherwise accelerate for sure, I stab the pedal and it takes off just fine. I, too, was in the same boat. I even looked at a 2004 ES with 3,500 miles at Carmax. They wanted $31,000! For another $1,000, I got my 2005 ES from the Lexus dealership. It sounds like you got a better deal than I since you have everything except the navi. I assume you have the upgraded sound system? My price went from $35,200 to $32,000 in December.

I have given up on buying a used Lexus because the resale price seems to be so high. I am now in the final stages of shopping for a new 2005 ES 330 with a MSRP of $35,709 (has everything but the navigation equipment.) The dealer has already come down to 32,500. I do not think 100 miles is a big deal and does not make it a Demo. Actually I said that they (Wilkie Lesus) were more Honest and professional than Ray Catena. In your earlier postings, you stated that you had a problem with Wilkie Lexus. I am curious why you ended up buying from them and paid 500 more than the offer you got from Ray Catena in NJ.

Lexus ES 330
Am looking into buying either a 2004 or 2005 Lexus ES 330. Really need a dependable, comparatively trouble free car. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the 2004 as I think I could probably get a better price. Have been driving a Catera and am in the Dallas, TX, area.

I'm no attorney, but I had similar experience a few years ago. I suspect Lexus has NO power to force this dealer to do anything. My suggestion would be to contact the dealer licensing department for your state. Where I live it was called "Vehicle Enforcement". They have the ability to investigate, fine, or suspend a dealers license for illegal practice. I found that just a call from one of their ... Read More

The Lexus of Manhattan dealer gave everything in writing for 34.6 with Navi/ML(plus tax etc) and took a deposit of 1K(it was even charged to my AMEX card). The next day the sales manager calls and says the sales guy did not know what was he doing. Said he sold me the car for less, hence cancelling the deal. He says, they would refund my money though. Congrats! It appears that the keen price competition from the TL and the I35 is driving down the price of the ES 330, which is great for consumers who are car shopping. I don't recall that Lexus was willing to sell cars at 10-12% off MSRP a couple of years ago.

17" Tires/Wheels for 2005 ES 330
Most of new 2005 ES 330's are coming with 17"Tire/Wheel. Lexus web site and brochure has a note that these tires may last for less than 20K miles under certain driving conditions. What does that all mean? Can somebody shed light on this.
