Review
We bought this car in March 2004. As
far as the fit and finish the car is
very nice, the ride is ok with the
junk Bridgestone tires but that can be
changed. The acceleration of this car
is terrible, and our previous Toyota
Solara with a smaller motor would run
away from this Lexus. It has a very
bad case of dead pedal, and the
transmission flat out sucks. With
10,000 miles on the clock already, I
don't think that the gas mileage is
going to get any better, either. I
didn't know about the problems until
tonight when my wife pointed them out
to me. But I will be at the Lexus
dealer this week, and as far as I am
concerned they will make it run right
or they can keep the junk until they
do.

I had this car for 7 months and regret
buying it. It looks great but the
transmission needs to be fixed. Lexus
say's that it performs as designed. I
can not belive that Lexus has lowered
thier standards.

This car's computer has problems
controlling the transmission. Car
hesitates badly at low speed/gear.
Lexus knows but won't acknowledge
because they can't fix it. I've sent 3
letters to HQ and they tell me the car
is operating as designed (without even
talking to the mechanics or my
dealershi, Hmmm!!). City gas mileage
is BAD also, about 15-17. Read all the
complaints about the trans on this
site, then buy something else!

THE LEXUS ES330 (SPORT DESIGN) IS A
SPORTY YET VERY CLASSY VEHICLE. IT
GIVES ME THE SPORTY HANDLING THAT I
LIKE WHEN I DRIVE AND LUXARY WHEN MY
WIFE DRIVES. THE ES330 COMES WITH MANY
FEATURES (i.e. NAVIGATION SYSTEM)THAT
MAKE DRIVING SAFE AND AT THE SAME FUN.
OVERALL I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY
PURCHASE OF THE LEXUS ES330 AND OF THE
A1A SERVICE THAT CAME WITH IT.

I've written Lexus Customer (NON)
Satisfaction 3 times--they've
called me back twice only to tell me
the transmission is "operating as
designed". Funny they would say that
automatically without driving the car.
Service writers and salespeople at the
dealership know there's a problem and
say there is no fix. SM told me that
Lexus said to use premium gas and it
may help--so they KNOW there's a
problem. I've counted 21 complaints on
this site. Is anyone working a Class
Action, or had any luck getting some
compensation in the way of a buy-back?

We purchased an RX330 in December 2003
and have been so please that I went and
bought an ES330 two weeks ago. The
value is amazing! I plan on using this
vehicle for business trips. What a
great a ride for the money!
